When I was Young, I never Needed anyone, Those days are gone

So, here I am again. Alone.

Tooli has taken off for the Wastelands of Ar-dross-an, and gotten on the Ferry and headed for Arran. She has just text to say that she is going to a Ceilie. How can a girl whose name is Ceilidh without a C, manage to spell it wrong?

Boy and Si are still up hills. Two Separate hills now. Si is on either, Doldrnhorn, or Frundenhutte, and Boy is on Blumlisaphutt.

Oh heavens, I just looked them up. Wish I hadn't. Frundenhutte, I think I can cope with. That is the one with the Lake in it.

They have already been to the lake, so maybe a little higher climb will be okay. The darker coloured one with the jaggy rocks in Blumlisphutt. Where my Boy is for sure. They both will sleep on the top of the hill tonight, and then climb back down in the morning.

I was slightly concerned about Si - his phone calls have been short, and not particularly sweet. Moaning about Boy being in Pub, spending money, while he is running around like headless chicken chasing Scouts. Boy has given Dad a hug and told him not to be so stressed, so it must be bad. Hmmm.

I'm sure he will settle into it. I have already found photos of him, captured in the back ground of some of them. It is a weird sensation to see this person I know so well, standing somewhere so unfamiliar, with loads of kids, he should be at the other side of my bed! Hmmm. The weirest thing is that when we met, this is how we lived. Si went away to sea, and stayed away for weeks or months at a time. When he came home, THAT was odd. I used to think there was "Someone" in the house, if I came downstairs for coffee, and he went to the loo while I was down.

Still It does you good, absence makes the heart and all that, although absence does nothing for me, when the Bean Bear keeps bringing dead animals in the house. Although I have discovered that if I run at her screaming she takes them outside, because she thinks I want to eat them.

Beau on the other hand. Wants to sit, and be loved; which means I can't get on with the spring cleaning (yes, I know it is Summer, hey ho, I'm a late starter).

Go Baby Go Baby Go baby Goooo Don't upset the Rhythm no!

Heavens.

Tooli and me are watching a programe on "Gender Reassignment". During the course of the programe, Tooli has asked me to clarify, whether or no the re-assigned men will have three bum holes (Pee Hole, Poo Hole, and Baby Hole). I decided to be clever about this and clear the whole issue up and wiki'd Vagina. Hmmm. Wasn't expecting a photograph of a vagina being held open!

OMG.

Anyway, that has cleared up any confusion she may have had about it! ha ha.

Follow Every Byway, Til You Find Your Dream

So the boys finally made it to Kandersteg. I think the older boy was ready for turning round and coming back. No sleep on Friday on the boat, younger scouts running round causing havoc. So Si took great joy in keeping them awake all day Saturday.

Overnight in Luxembourg, at Scout hall. No beds for the leaders, they slept outside in Bivouac, on hard ground. Journey from Luxembourg to Switzerland - Si last ate at 2 pm, he phoned me at 1015, he hadn't showered, hadn't got his room and hadn't ate. He was dirty, tired and smelly and HUNGRY. I was shocked at how awful he sounded.

Thankfully, he phoned tonight in a much better humour, although having just past his son sitting in bar, enjoying hospitality, was not BEST happy! He was going to go and organise 25 Plus Scouts into activities for the Evening before he even got a snifter at the bar. And totally exhausted from walking up hill to Oeschinensee Lake

Top picture is the stop over in Luxembourg, second picture en route back down hill from Lake. Click the link to see how beautiful Oeschinensee is.

Sunday Stealing, Firsts......

Sunday Stealing, Done on a Monday! (Sorry)

1. Who was your FIRST date?
My first date, hmmm, there were snogs. There was much hand-holding. If we are actually going to talk, "will you go out with me, meet me here..." Then I think it was John B. I knew it wasn't going well when he said "The nights are fair drawing in". Hmm

2. Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
Am married to my first love! ha! All that went before were grande pretenses, if you are talking about talking to first serious boyfriend. No. He left the country. As did the next one, what the hell was I doing wrong?

3. What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?

Advocat. I was allowed advocat at a very early age (8 or 9) at New Year to "hear in the Bells". Hmm. First REALLY REALLY Alcoholic Drink. Closing night of the Lang Spoon Restaurant in Troon. I drunk a glass of everything on the bar. Starting with Pernod, and finishing with a bucket in the bathroom, and my bed for 2 days!

4. What was your FIRST job?
Dish washer in the above restaurant. I was only 13 when it changed hands....

5. What was your FIRST car?

A little Suzuki. I loved it to pieces, hated the man who sold it to me, because guaranteed, each week, something else fell off it. Nothing small mind, the clutch, the gearbox, the hand brake. It was a DEATHTRAP. GI Motors, You Did Me!

6. Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane?
Jersey. When I was 9. We went a lovely holiday to St Hellier. Second flight, being the one home, wasn't so good. Mum took ill and passed out in the toilet. Ever wondered how you get someone out of a toilet on an aeroplane, who has passed out in their own vomit? It's not very nice, and involves your dad swearing a lot at the Stewardess, and an ambulance.

7. Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk?

My first best friend was Jackie, and no we don't talk. Recently she fulfilled my childhood dreams and moved in round the corner from me. But our lives drifted apart and we really don't have anything in common any more. We were friends for years, and shared LOADs of great times.

8. Whose wedding did you attend the FIRST time?
My cousin Linda's. It was in a hotel in Prestwick, and I always remember my other cousin saying that she was enjoying it more than her own wedding.

9. Tell us about your FIRST roommate.
My first room mate was Boris, (Janni). We kind of rescued each other from the other available horrors that could have been our room mates, we made a good team until the final month of college and we stopped talking, in saying that, I spoke to her this week.... 22 years on.

10. If you had one wish, what would it be (other than more wishes)?

That my mortgage got paid off by the mortgage fairy.

11. What is something you would learn if you had the chance?

Highland dancing.

12. Did you marry the FIRST person you were in love with?

Oh Yes I did.

13. What were the first lessons you ever took and why?
I took Ballet Lessons because my mum didn't want me to have bowly legs.
I took lessons to learn to drive. I took shorthand lessons, because I was bored.
I took Hostess Cookery Lessons, because my husband to be was a chef and I wanted to impress him. I took Tap Lessons, because I wanted to dance like Fred Astair

14. What is the first thing you do when you get home?
Have a cup of char.

If I could turn back time......

Heavens, this is the strangest thing ever.

Si and Boy are away, en route to Switzerland, via Holland and Luxemburg on a bus, with 58 other Scouts! Nightmare.

They left yesterday morning, look at them... that is the Cruse Tartan ha ha - Not really, they didn't know what Tartan to wear, so I choose it for them, - I went for mcLeod, in honor of The Highlander... ha ha ha, if only they knew.

I used to think Si was tall. Hmmm. He doesn't loo it standing next to Boy does he? - And he is standing up straight. I have another one, and Si is crouching. Is so funny.

So, it would be me and tool, but Tool, not here either. She is not in Switzerland, she is St Andrews, at a Volleyball Camp. She is texting me between training sessions, to tell me how awful the food is. Is very amusing. Posh ravioli tonight. She had to fill up with Chocolate, and a Crisps.

So is me, all alone. Is very very strange. I was reiking last night. Speaking to a lovely wee girl who is recovering from having a brain tumour removed in December. She was such a pleasure to be around, you wonder, don't you. These people who have such suffering, but they are always such lovely kind and selfless. I don't know how they do it, do bad things strike the people who can support it? Someone said that to me once, "i suffer, because I can bear it, you wouldn't be able to". Lovely.

Summer Holidays' All gone

1. If you could turn back the hands of time to correct one wrongdoing, what event would you choose and why?
What wrongdoing? There are so many of them. Not mine, I'm thinking of national disasters, world astounding disasters. Stop the coal falling on Abergifan? Stop the bombs being planted on Lockerbie flight; Stop Saddam Hussain invading Kuwait; Piper Alpha catching fire, The underground bombs? Would turning back the hands of time of one incident way way back, stop all evil? Would be nice to think so.

2. Are you one for tradition? If so, what traditions do you strongly believe in? If not, what makes tradition hypocritical?
Nope, not really one for tradition. When you are younger, is nice to see tradition, and remember a focus for things; when you get older, the traditions seem old and weary, and for the most part boring.

3. You were taking part in an event and you had to crossplay, who would you crossplay as and why?
Crossplay? Ah. Transgender. Let me think! Who. Hmm. Santa? Papa Smurf?

4. If you only had one day left to live, how would you spend your last day? Would you be tempted to live fatally if you knew you were to die the next day, and if so, what extreme measures would you take?
I would spend my day, doing things I love with the people I love. Walking on the beach, eating ice cream. I wouldn't live fatally, It's not been my nature ever to take risks, I am a fearty cat, I'd rather live happily without risk, and take the next day as it came.

5. What are your top five sinful materialistic items, ones you'd expect from others including those closest to you? Why are each in the position they are in?
My Iphone, My Iphone, My Iphone, My Iphone, and My Iphone.

6. I am...content

7. I feel...content

8. I see...the big tv on the screen in front of us.

9. I need...A pee.

10. I love...my family

11. I wish...i'd won the Euro lottery last night.

12. I think...that I am a happy bunny.

13. I hear...Tooli typing to her pals on the computer

14. I crave...Chocolate

15. I fear...the doo Doo monster and chocolate

16. I hope…that the numbers come up.

Friday 5......... Scoobie Snacks

Where can you go for a really good bagel, and how do you like yours?
In Scotland, Bagels, aren't really "done". I like my bagels, from Morrisons, New York Style, Cinamin and Raison, with Smoke Salmon and Cream Cheese.

What is your favorite style of doughnut?
Iced Donuts, not sugared.

What’s your favorite flavor of Lifesavers?
I don't know what a Lifesaver is. Hang on. Aha. Jelly Beans. My favourite Lifesaver, is Jelly Belly, and it would be, Cappucino, or Latte, or Coconut, or Vanilla, or Cream Soda, or Buttered Popcorn, or, yeah, safe to say I love Jellybelly.

What O-shaped breakfast cereals do you like?
I don't do O shaped cereal. I do, bran flakes, or Special K, or Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, Yumsy.

How do you feel about onion rings, and where can you get some good ones? Burger King do good onion rings, Lido do good onion rings, Morrisons do packet onion rings.

I guess, Now it's Time....

OMG, I am 15 Again! Well in honesty, I wasn't even 15 when they were out the first time! I was 28, and doing my Teaching Training, and was banning kids from even discussing Take That in the Class Room. During one of my teaching practices, Take That were "co-presenting" the Big Breakfast, with Chris Evans. Every class had a late entrance - the gaggle of girls waiting behind for every last image of the Takethats before they headed to school, and then there was muffled mutterings for the rest of first period, "gary, mmmmm, robbie....., Howard.... Mark... Jason..!. Hmm.

I thought Young lads having fun, enjoying their success! And here we are, nearly 20 years on, and they are back, and boy were they good.

Tooli and me went on Friday night, and it was BRILLIANT! Totally Fantastic. All the old songs and the new ones too. Not a note adrift. It was AMAZING!

Back for Good, Complete with Rain Storm

Howard Really Does Love Gary!

My Gorgeous Tooli Before the show! We tried to stay
in this spot, and we almost did - barring mad drunk glaswegians!

I hear Your Footsteps in the Street, It won't be long before We meet

Troon has been beautiful today. The sun was shining, it was so warm, i didn't have a headache, it was all good.

We've done some shopping, we've lazed around, and all fell asleep in the sun at one time or another. Now we've ate too much, and we are sitting around, clouds have come over, and it isn't quite as bright, but we had such a lovely weekend.

Yesterday was exhausting. We left Troon at 8 am to get up to Edinburgh, dropped Tool at Pleasance, and wandered from St Mary's Street, right up The Royal Mile, Down the Castle Terrace, along Grindlay Street, wandered the Farmers market, enjoyed the smells and sounds, down Lothian road, along Princes Street, which was a BIG mess with all the tram works. Heard the 15 Gun Salute for the Queen's Birthday - with EVERY blast making me jump. Back across the Bridges, back to the Car on St Mary's Street, then along the Cowgate to the Grassmarket, had lunch, just missing the rain, and then headed back along The Royal Mile again, to the car and off to Meadowpark Stadium to watch the volleyball. GB Ladies were playing Romania and the GB Men were playing Croatia. OMG The speed of play, was amazing, the jumps the strength of play. Tooli was Court Sweeping -great excitement there, because the game was being televised, so we are hopeful that Tool's butt will be seen, sweeping across the courts at every time out! Woop

Boy was Stewarding which consisted of him wearing a red t-shirt and sitting with one of his team mates! Lovely. Easy Job!

We eventually made it home for just after 10! Wow How exausted were we!

I once was lost but now am found.....

I'm leaving this job in 2 weeks, and I really wish it was sooner. I gave 6 weeks notice, so that I could clear up tidily, but I think regardless of how hard you work, you aren't going to be able to pull everything together the way you want to.

Once I had made the decision it was made, I didn't make it lightly, I considered it long and hard, and one it was made, I wasn't going back. I'll be sad to leave, this is the first job for ever, that I have not gone to bed on a Sunday night, wishing it was Friday night again.

I looked forward to coming in, and holidays were not to be feared as a period when something would go wrong and people would be in touch with you, and you dreaded coming back in to the horror that was your desk left alone for 2 weeks. It's been fun, but the time has come to move on.

As always, I'll probably walk away and not look back. Am very very bad for that, but maybe I'll come back and buy a boat!

Said you'd make my life worthwhile, it's all about you

Hmm. I'm counting down and I don't think I should be.

I was typing last night, it was a nightmare. The speaker had recorded it in a coffee-shop and the back ground noise was abysmal. You listen and listen and listen, and then the most obvious words become fuddled. I got back up and listened through this morning and was able to pick out a few more bits and pieces, but heavens' it does make you feel disabled!

I also walked with Tool. I didn't feel up to running. I don't know why, I was doing well on that front, but the impetuous has left me now. I must concentrate and get back to it.

new job in less than 3 weeks. I'm really looking forward to it. Oh Yes I am!

And I know how I feel It's a new dawn

Seriously, I like Global Warming.

I like waking up and feeling the sun on my face. I like that I can sit in the garden at 10 pm at night, and not be (a) soaked, or (b) frozen.

I like that my kittens can lay in the sunshine, or hide in the shade, i love that Blue Bun can bounce round the garden to his hearts content, seeking out Jaffa Cakes, without his wee fluffy bum getting all wet and soggy.

I love that my kids can spend their days on the beach, playing and getting wet (covered in lotion), and I love that my husband can climb a hill and see for miles and miles and not be surrounded by clouds and miserable rain.

Lets face it any major damage to the earth is going to fix itself. We might kill off each other with chemicals and toxic poisioning, but the earth is greater than any of us, and it will fix itself and come out stronger and greener on the other side for the next species that comes.

Follow Every ByWay, Until You Find Your Dream

I was singing today to Cheer A up. Not that she needed cheered up, she needed stressed down.

So Songs from the Sound of Music it was. Had the desired effect. Wonder what the new girl will think when she has to burst into song to cheer office up? Betcha S didn't mention that in the interviews!

We'll be lovers once again on the Bright side of the road

I'm very excited. I have no idea why, just very positive and up.

Boy has his prom tonight, and is getting dressed NOW, I am shooting off sharp cause I want to see him before he goes. He and all his mates are getting a Hummer down to Brig o Doon - nothing like the best for them. Very sophisticated, it's a beautiful place, and it is such a nice day they are bound to have a ball.

Toolibelle, is working on a French essay, and is very blase about her brothers exciting evening. She has excitement of her own. a very heavy weekend, with Guides in Lochgoilhead - She was sleeping on her feet when she got home last night. Still sleeping this morning, but awake enough to slap the make up on, and doll herself up for school. I've just been chatting with her on the phone...she has much news to share with me, but not news that I can share here. Too much information for the good folk of Troon, but suffice to say, if all things come to pass, life will get a little more complicated for me and her dad. She has a Physics trip tomorrow. She is much looking forward to. Am hoping it is because of the subject matter, and NOT the company.

Sunday, June 07, 2009

Let Me Dance Among the Stars,

So busy Weekend AGAIN.

Toolibelle gone on Friday night, I haven't seen her since Friday morning ;-(

She is at Lochgoilhead activity centre with Guides. Am sure she is having a ball! Hope she has some photos, although I'm sure I seen the camera on table, so maybe not.

I had a lovely Reiki on Friday night with a lovely lady. It is so great when it goes well and someone gets a reaction... makes you feel very positive. After Reiki Wee-Devil came down and we went to TACOS in Troon, where the portions are ginormous and being flour tortilla based, with refriend beans. VERY HEAVY. Still we ploughed through it. Then we had a wee run round Troon, missed seeing the Scouts playing outside, which is what K Wanted, but there will be other chances.

On Saturday, Boy got up early and went to set up Volleyball on beach for Seniors Tournament.
The weather wasn't as brilliant as it had been last week for the juniors one, but I think maybe made for easier playing.

That being said, boy did come in and despite protesting his ability to stay awake, did in fact fall asleep as soon as he seen his bed.

Did recover suitably tho and managed to get dressed and head on off to party.. looking very smart.

Completely missed him coming in.... phoned him at 3 to find out where he was and disturbed his beauty sleep!! Weans! Who'd have em!

The World is Alive with the Sound of Kids

Is Thursday. Thursdays are good, because it's almost Friday.

Last night was nice. I did a bit of typing, a bit of Open University, a bit a knitting and a bit of reading and spent a lot of time in the garden with Blue Bun, just to make sure he was okay. I'm sure he is a bit lost, and doesn't have anyone to talk to now, but he isn't taking any shit from the Kits! Beau went over to him last night, and he just stuck his head out, right in Beau's face. She backed down immediately.

Boy's last exam today, and apart from Show, School no more. Is quite sad. Sixth year always fades out, it doesn't really go out with a bang. He needs to get a job now, and get on with his applying for USofA. Lots of forms to fill, lots of questions to answer. It'll more than keep him busy.

Tooli went to beach last night with her mates, it was a lovely night. We are lucky we have the beach so close, and all relatively safe.

I hear Babies Cry, I watch them Grow....

Beautiful Thumper died last night. We aren't sure what happened, but maybe the heat got to him; it has been very very hot over the last few days. I did notice that he wasn't out running around the garden as he usually does last night, so his big brother Blue was getting the Reiki attention. Poor Wee Bunny. He's safely buried under the Tree in the Garden.

Night Night Thumps.

And We'll Make All Our Dreams Come True.....

The weather has been brilliant recently. So brilliant, I am trying not to be inside at the Computer hence, lack of posting.

Family had a busy weekend. Tool on Duke of Edinburgh exped. Boy on UK School Games Trials, and Both of them doing Beach Volleyball at Tournament on Sunday. Si was up a hill, with the Scouts - Group Camp or something. Me, I did a coffee Morning with Nant, very nice thanking you..... cup of tea, scone and a bit of cake, and merangues from the Home Baking Stall. Yum. I lay out the back door for about 30 minutes, and the rest of the time, pretended to do housework, studying, typing.

As a result the house is a big mess, Si made a major contribution last night and did the three weeks worth of ironing, I put clothes away in the bedroom, and hoovered and swept. Then I went to bed early, cause I've been suffering a migraine for the last couple of days, and it isn't lifting. I'm a bit better today, but feeling quite sick, but I think that is as a result of too many painkillers.

I'll have a quiet night again tonight, and hopefully i'll pick up from them.

Working to get work tied up......they have got someone to replace me now, and we will have a two week handover, but now, I've got two weeks to get my desk into some semblance of order!

Hey Teacher, Leave Em Kids Alone

Yes, okay, I watched it. Britain's Got Talent. Oh Dearie Me. I predict, Saxophone Player, and the Grandad and Grandwean.

I'm tired. It's been a busy week, I've woken with a headache each morning, but fought it off - and am shattered when I go to bed at night. I'm definitely looking forward to new job.... I was right on Saxophone man. Looking forward to a fresh start, and more stimulation of the brain.

Tooli and Si are heading up hills again. Separate hills, I might add, so I see a quiet night ahead for me tomorrow night, but that's nice. I've got Reiki at 6.15, ..... and then I can come home, and go to bed. Ah. Brilliant. Lovely!

The Grandad and Grandwean are thru! There's a surprise. I seen that coming.... Oh no, they are throwing the "my dead wife in...."

It's a Wonderful Wonderful Life.....

Heavens, where do you start.

A couple of weeks ago a company approached me with a query about employment, I chased them, not interested am quite happy at my job. Part of my tactic for chasing was pay me XXXXX and I'll think about it. They came back, quite happy to pay me XXXXX and asked me to speak to them.

I went down one night, spoke to them, spoke to them spoke to them for ages and ages, and then put it to the back of my mind.

Then last weekend they offered, and not only did they offer XXXXX they offered that plus some. What do I do? There was no way that in my present post I could accept any increase that they offered, it was way in excess of anything that I would be likely to get for a benefit rise. However having made my decision with the resolve that I would not change my decision. The company offered same. Argh

I went home and slept on it, made my decision again, and went back in and handed my formal notice in.

I'm calm now, and looking forward to the next month - preparing for the handover and the new surroundings. I'm travelling in the opposite direction, I can get the train. It's all good!

But Can You Do Something Out of This World?

I attended a funeral this morning.

For those of you in Troon, you will have been aware of it, you couldn't not have.

Maureen Walsh was killed tragically last weekend in a car accident on the way to her neices wedding. She was survived by her Husband, Arthur, and her Daugher Abbie. Her funeral was testament to her popularity in the town. When I arrived at 1045, there was a queue, four deep outside the Town Hall over 400 yards down the street, shops around Maureen's Hairdressers were closed as a mark of respect and to allow other friends to attend the funeral. When I reached the door, the queue was still to the same place. There were seats inside for 300, they were fully taken, and people were crushed down the side passages and in the middle aisle, and there were STILL people outside.

It was a humanist ceremony and was a lovely retelling of Maureen's life, warts and all - her school days, her ballet days, her dating, her drinking, her boyfriends, her family, her love of life. It was lovely, there were laughs as stories were re-told, which was how it should have been.

We were there to celebrate that she had been, not be sad that she was gone. It was amazing to be in that room full of people - many, many of whom I had hung around with, gone out with, got drunk with, laughed with - older ladies who were missing their styling, because their hairdresser has gone, friends from school, hairdressers who had work beside her, friends. It was a celebration of her life, and I hope the turnout was comforting to her family.

However, a husband and a young girl are still missing a wife and a mother, and that is the heartbreak.

Hug whoever you have a little tighter every day.

And I would any for another minute with you....

Funny Friday yesterday.

Boy had Advanced English Higher, Tooli was hill climbing (Yes, Sorry Wee-Devil, they are all at it), Si was working and then Scouting, and I was... here.

I did walk / run. I got Boy to drop me at School and I walked/Ran back, I'm doing the same this morning except from Town. Si is heading up a Hill (Yes, Wee-Devil, it is quite sad, but the truth is, a lot of this running / walking I'm doing it hoping to lead me to a place where I too, can jog up the hills with them).

I made a lovely curry for tea last night, I don't excert myself too much in the kitchen, but I did make an effort last night, and tonight I'll make the effort probably for Tooli... Boy will probably be out again, and Si will still be up a hill.

One thing I did do creatively last night was begin petitioning..... Marr College needs Astroturf pitches. We (we as in the Town of Troon, and the School of Marr) have some of the BEST grass playing fields around, but the children's teams are beaten useless when they play away, because all the rebuilt schools are training and playing on Astroturf which makes the game faster and harder. Yes of course the teams do better when playing at home, but they still can only train with the pitches are worthy. I emailed all the Local Councillors yesterday, the Local MP the Local MEP, Sport Scotland and the Lottery. Of the 5 Lottery Grants I found on their site which were "suitable", - we were disallowed on two of them because 1. we were a school, and 2. because it didn't highlight the heritage?? the other three ran out of date in August 2008?

What is the point in that?

I'm going to try Tom Hunter, Colin Mongomery, and anyone else I can think of from Troon who might have a bit of dosh!

If I could Reach the Stars, I'd give them All To you.

Another Gorgeous day. Truely Truely gorgeous.

Last night on the way home, I discovered the joy of listening to music on my Iphone. Yes, I know, that is what they are for, but todate, mostly I have listened to books. Music was annoying me slightly. However, the Iphone has this lovely thing called Genius. I choose a cheesy song (and a lot of my songs are cheesy), and it automatically selects another 25 of the same cheesiness. Amazing.

So I stick the phones on, and sing at the top of my voice. Ellajayebee alerted me to this lovely singing in the car business, and for that I thank her muchly. I literally came into work today, singing and dancing, there is so much that Rick Astley can do for a laydee!

While the sun smiles Stick around and laugh a while

Boooo

I have discovered Audio Boos! Click the link above to hear last nights!

I'm not quite sure of the possibilities of purpose of this, but I think it is quite nice to spread noise about....... This is a lovely Birdie Boo which I recorded last night while out "running (1)

This One

The next one, is the noise of us sitting round fire pit the other night, I wanted you all to hear the lovely crackle of the wood burning, but It's quite distant and there is the noise of me sniffing (with A cold I add, and not me literally "sniffing" anything off any tables). In order that you can hear what wood burning should sound like... here is my third and last Boo of the day, which was my Woodwick candle... which sounds like a bonfire should.

Woodwick.

Notes:
1. For "running" read, walking fast, panting, shuffling legs a l

ittle faster than walker, crying loudly, declaring broken ankle, and respiratory problems.

Help Me Make the Most of Freedom, and Of Pleasure....

Sheez.

Tonight, I got up off my butt!

Tool and I walked 6 minutes, ran a minute, walked 6 minutes, ran a minute, walked another 6 minutes, ran a minute, and then sat at grans for 20 minutes while we (or sorry I) caught our breath and then headed back.

Walked 6 minutes, tried to run a minute lasted 30 seconds. Walked six minutes, and ran a minute, and I really ran. Walked another 4 or 5 minutes and then ran the last 20 yards home.

Then I went outside and collied the ropes while Boy and Tool did the Double Dutch. Well Boy actually did double dutch, Tool bounces about a bit and laughs loads!

Now I am keeled over in front of PC thinking about shower and bed! Notice that Tooli looks fantastic, while I look like death!

Oh My Weans! love them to bit.

Also love my Man who stood and did the ironing while watching crap TV!

And I think to myself......

On Saturday Boy and Si were running / walking for Scouts / Explorers.

Si walked with the Scouts, from the Scout Hall to The Prestwick Caravan Park, onto the Beach and Back along to Troon. Boy, was dropped at Dundonald Castle, and he and 11 other Explorers / Leaders ran the 13k back to Troon, this included through Forest, up the side of a hill, and through fields.

Had this been a beautiful day, it would have been a joy. As torrential rain started at 9.30 am, and continued until 2 pm, both of them were drowned and aching.

Sunday dawned a far more beautiful day. We got up reasonably early for us, and got stuck in about the days tasks. We were heading to the pictures at 12! Typical, why didn't we book for Saturday when being inside wouldn't be a problem. As it was, we managed to get both kids to come with us. Star Trek ..... Aw. I love Spock I do.

The weather was still great when we came out at 2.30, and we spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden, while Boy Studied and Tool Piddled around.

After dinner eaten outside in the garden, we lit out new fire pit, how lovely was that, to sit in the setting sun, with a little fire going. Tooli was in her element, - I think there is a little of the hereditary piromaniac in there, poking fire and finding things to cook! Bananas and chocolate after 2 minutes are nice, after five minutes not so!

After fire, Superhero Movie called. O M G It is soooo bad. Laugh out loud moments but moments of total cringe too!

Bed, and then it starts all over again!

Unfortunately meme!

I got the wrong end of this meme.... they said, "google "unforunately your name", but all I got was references for Unfortunately Your Name meme".

Then it dawned on me, "Unfortunately Helen" is what I was supposed to say....

Unfortunately, Helen refused to take no for an answer, (as is always the case)
Unfortunately, Helen is the last of her kind. (Yes, I'd agree with that)
Unfortunately, Helen, as the fairest of her sex, (most definintely)
Unfortunately, Helen was easy prey for unscrupulous people. YEs, I am
Unfortunately, Helen was the bride of Menelaus. No My Husband is Simon
Unfortunately, Helen had to commence the CTS 30 miles from Perth What is CTS? Is that were Keifer is?
Unfortunately, Helen was thrown away by the studio. Aw. And I hoped for a career in Acting!
Unfortunately, Helen liked to gamble and by all accounts she wasn't ... I won 85 on Friday!
Unfortunately, Helen doesnt pick up on the fact the Kitty doesnt ... Like to be swung round by the ankles
Unfortunately, Helen's anorexia confounded such a softly, softly approach So Much so, that at 23 stone, she still believed herself to be anorexic
Unfortunately, Helen stopped taking her medication and was hospitalized during a psychiatric crisis One of many I'm afraid!
Unfortunately Helen Terry, would never out live her Culture Club days as a solo artist That was a certainty!
Unfortunately, Helen was rather unlucky in getting work, she did have a short spell working for Northampton Council And very nice they were too!
Unfortunately, Helen Merrill never really lived up to the promise of this album I never was the best singer.
Unfortunately, Helen's dress looks a little like a safety . Jacket / Life Belt?
Unfortunately, Helen didn't have much contact with them, she was a black sheep of sorts Yes, I behaved myself, unlike my sister and mother!

Unfortunatelies were a bit distressing, so I treated myself to some Happilies!

Happily, Helen's Hoo Bears are very popular, Ho bears? Dirty Pole Dancers?
Happily, Helen Hunt takes the Oscar for best Actress in a Sit Com
happily, Helen also has left the Sans Souci Which is a boat we sold last week, and I sure won't be going away with it!
Happily, Helen will return to the screen in Rajiv Sharma's Bachpan I'm a bollywood superstar?

Makes No Difference Who You Are............

Tony est still alive........

That is pretty good eh?

Rain has stopped.

Also pretty good.

Tired.

Oh Yes I am.

Don't Turn Around..... Cause You're Gonna See My Heart Breaking

Okay,

So, Reiki the goldfish, he's hiding now.

Every Time you Go Away..... You Take a Piece of me

Oh No.

Tony the Fish is dying. Dilemma. What do I do? Do I flush? or Nurse?

Last time, I decided to flush, and I regretted it ever since, especially when I cried for 30 minutes afterwards, and next morning colleagues asked after the saga of the dying fish. Guilt was written all over my face, and they KNEW, they KNEW I had killed the fish. It got worse. next morning, they had black armbands on, and had gone so far as to get a blow up fish in a blow and stick RIP MURDERER on it!

This in itself, is a step forward. There have been about 8 fish since then, all passed in natural circumstances (well I had my back turned when I forced Si to do it), and now I am breaking my silence. If anything happens, you are all going to suspect.

Hey - I just had a thought. I'll reiki him. See what happens!

Done Too Much, Much Too Young

Okay, so no alcohol today. Couldnt' am too tired! But thinking I won't anyway - It just doesn't agree with me.

Managed to drag myself from my pit about 11, and Si and I got some shopping... Boy went "out to see who he could find". and Tool went to Ayr.. Pictures I think, and then shopping. They met up and Boy brought tool home. I lay and slept in the garden.

Up to work at 4 for Hog Roast Prep. Didn't really do much til 5.30.... and then we went to Llanthony for their "Launch" party. - What a beautiful boat. It is a Dunkirk ship, and has slept Edward and Mrs Simpson, and Profumo and Christeen Keeler. history? Eh!

Back over to the shed and the next two hours passed pretty quickly. Hog gone. Completely. I had the best piece of crackling ever - caramalised from roasting, and coated on the inside with beautifully moist strips of pork. Mmmmm.

Mum came over, - managed a roll and a drink, before Si, Boy and Tool shouted her out for being a litter lout, and then Boy sidled up to her for a lift home, to get to see girlfriend.

Si got drunker, Tool sat in car. I cleared tables, stacked chairs and eventually resorted to switching off the lights and still the stragglers straggled.

Back home, Si thru up..... I've had a cup of tea, chatted to mum, put the bunnies away, and now I'm heading up to bed. My eyes are shutting. Too busy a weekend.
