Sunday Stealing

Sunday Stealing

What would you choose to be famous for?   Famous, for being a great mum... for being the BEST wife, and just generally an all round nice person.

If you have a webcam, are you ever paranoid people can see you?   Yes, I am always.  There is an exceptionally attractive chappie mans a shop help cam.... My daughter and I like to buzz by to have a wee look and make him blush; we are always hiding though... in case he sees us.  (Even though you can click "text only no webcam")

Do you find it difficult to sleep at night? Any reason(s) why?    No, I sleep like a log.  Sleep is one of my favourite things.  I sleep anywhere.

If you had to go on a game show, which would you choose?      Pointless.  I like that one. Knowing random stuff which is right, but no one else knows,Sounds like my kind of thing.

What about if you had to go on a reality show?
I think I would go on Sewing Bee... This just started this year.  I have absolutely no knowledge of creating clothing, but bloody hell it looked like amazing fun!  And if nothing else I would give everyone else a good laugh.

Tell me about your favorite TV show:   The Cafe.   It's a UK thing.  Set in a little seaside town's coffee shop, gentle and easy, and always leaves me with a smile on my face.

Why were you last irritated?    Yesterday.  I was irritated because my daughter was moving into a new flat and she had a "moment", when she stopped talking, stopped interacting and went in to a wee world all by herself.   I needed answers, and she wouldn't respond.  Thankfully, I walked away irritated, and she snapped out :-)  Welcome back Tooli!

What time did you get up this morning?   9.30  Amazing since I didn't go to bed til 1.30

The last city you were in: Where was it and do you like it there?    Edinburgh, Scotland. My daughter moved into a flat there yesterday ; last year were halls.

Do you like the countryside?   Love the countryside. There is so much to see. So so much to see.

If you see someone yawn, do you often yawn as well?   Yes.  See above. I like sleeping... any reason.

Recommend me a good movie:   Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Haven't seen it,have been reading it,thinking about looking at it today.

Do you think you’d make a good model?   ha hahahahaha My arse is the size of a bus.

Would you ever want to be one?   Erm.  No,  I look at Plus size models, and they are just "big, tall, broad, perfectly proportioned.  I'm short, squat, hour glass but very wobbly glass.

How often do you change your hairstyle?   not often.  I used to have very short hair...  Although I had it when he fell in love with me, he prefers me to keep it longer...

What does it look like now?     It's as short as it can be without being short :-)

Do you have a favorite day of the week? Which is it?    Mondays.  Weirdly.  I like Mondays because at work they zoom past, meaning the weekend is a little closer.

Are you alone?   Yes, Son in USA, Daughter in Edinburgh.  Husband at Scout Hall. Do Cats count? If so, no; I have one laying like a kid-on cat rolled up in a ball on the floor, and another snoring on the chair beside me.

When is the last time you were on the phone after 2 am?   When Tooli got kicked off a night bus and I talked her home, along a dark and winding road.

Bloody bollocks

Migraines are the worst!

I woke on Tuesday morning 130 am with a pounding head; took two pills threw them up; took another two pills threw them up too!  Sobbed myself to sleep.  Woke at 630 head still throbbing.  Told darling husband - you are gonna have to jab me.

He had to bounce out of bed, read whole leaflet and then prepare himself to stab me !  He hates needles!

Did it .... Nothing seemed to happen. I threw up again --all over floor by bedside. Then pins and needles started all over my body and my lips went numb and then my breathing slowed down.

DH held me til I fell asleep .... And then all over again when I woke ten minutes later burstin for toilet.

Headache continued all day - I pulled myself from bed at 8; and woke again this morning still unable to cope with noise or light!

Finally now, over 36 hours from start I'm starting to feel as though I may surface!

Fess Up, with Sunday Stealing

Sunday Stealing

Have you ever said you would never love again?       Probably, but at the time, when I was probably heart broken, I wasn't really in love.  I thought about this just yesterday, I had a "broken heart"; I had plans to move to another country, and a couple of weeks before I Moved, we split up... by the end of the week, less than a week after we split, I was out and about enjoying life again.. Obviously Not THAT bothered.  If this one broke my heart, I think he would break my life.

Have you heard a song today that reminds you of somebody?   I haven't heard many songs today; I did hear Simply Red, we stuck that CD in the car to stop my daughter playing hers on repeat.  When I hear Simply Red, I think about Terence Trent D'arby.  He was the support act when we went to see Simply Red, and he completely stole the show.

Do you apologize first?   Only if I am at fault.   And Only If I want to resolve the dispute.

Do you require glasses / contacts to see properly? If so, which do you use?   I need glasses for seeing road signs far away.  As long as I am on the road I know, I will be okay.   Further afield I need the glasses to recognise where I am.

When you hear your voice back on a recording, do you think it sounds awful?   I sound Scottish and a bit nasally. Doesn't everyone?

When was the last time you got the hiccups?   Last week.  HIcupping  all the time.

If you had to, which record would you go into Guinness World Records for?   Holding my breath under water.

The last sweet thing you ate: What was it?   not just any sweet thing, an M&S chocolate eclaire.

Just another manic today....

Yesterday, mum was sunbathing in the garden and was looking at her kindle, and her chair collapsed backwards.

Her head hit the step of the patio, and her bum got stuck in the chair.

Unwilling to let the young, gorgeous next door neighbour witness her plight, she rolled around low, until she could creep in the house - all the while bleeding profusely from the wound on her head.

She phoned me.and said "are you busy".  I said "I am at work, I am always busy".

"oh", says she" That's okay.

What's wrong?

"I had an accident".

Thinking she had a car crash (because she's done it before.... a few times), I said "Oh god, where are you".

"In the house, I fell off the deckchair, my head is bleeding but it is at the back and I can't see it, and I wondered if you could come round and have a look, but if you are busy".

"Mum, I will get someone, I 'm on my bike... Please go and sit down, until I find someone".

"I'm going for a shower, I don't want anyone to see me with all this blood over me!!!"

Mothers!

Husband and Daughter got there, within minutes of each other and both made the same diagnosis.

Hospital

5 stitches later and an local anesthetic, and she was out having fun meeting with family .

Dearie me

Back on the Chain Gang...

Back on the bike after a two week absence... wow did my knees feel it.

I couldn't work out last week, why my knee was so sore!  It wasn't the fall from the previous week, but my god, i could barely bend it.   I hopped down the stairs, and filled myself up with painkillers, and muddled through the day.

It was only when I got in the car and the pain re-stressed itself, I realised it was the monumental amount of driving I had done on Wednesday which had set it off; so prompted stopped driving and refused to give anyone lifts.  Much better .

But anyways - back on the bike this morning, I couldn't not - it is a glorious day, and it would have been a proper shame not to use it.  I took my time, cause I left in plenty, and I still made in in 29 minutes.  My longest time, (when I started) was 36 minutes.  I've been as fast as.... 26minutes, so I haven't lost it!

Bella Bella, the bike, was happy for me to be back... She doesn't want to sit in the shed.  I think it need to blow her tyres a bit!

Strange but interesting

For three years, I have had a virtual relationship with J.

Friends, no more no less; he writes, I comment.  I write, he comments. Sometimes he proffers advice, but in the main, he laughs with me, and offers humour to my woes.

yesterday he told me "tomorrow I retire".

I couldn't understand how he could be retiring on a Sunday.

He works all over UK, and the world, on examining boards, but it turns out this is only a part-time job.  His other job, is a minister.

three years, of my declaring everything nul and void when it comes to  faith, and three years of not judging.

I do like him even more now.

Sunny Saturday Morning...

Well is afternoon now I suppose.  I have been quite productive already.

I checked the freezer. It has lots of chicken in it.  As Wee Devil says, I could have a street party for royal baby.

I have completed two washings and hung them out...

Had some coffee.

Cleaned the juice bottle rack. Put some rubbish in bin.

And developed a sore knee.

What is wrong with my knee...

Bending is a bit sore.

And again

Someone left me a comment yesterday, and I can't find it today.  No idea where it went.

But thank you very much for reading.

I am exhausted today.... I was at a Holyrood garden party yesterday... much excitement.  it was very lovely.

But I drove so much., home to edinburgh, (75 miles), Edinburgh to calander, 52 miles,  78 miles, plus a detour when I nearly fell asleep and ended up in Glasgow City Centre, instead of staying on the M8... ARGHHH
Added half an hour and 5 miles to my journey.  Raging.

Collapsed in a heap last night.

Still sleepy today.

Sometimes

you get days when your brain just ticks and ticks and ticks until it could possibly explode.

I have one of those days to day, and I am trying desperately hard to make my hard working brain contribute to something useful. like TIDYING the house.
