Sunday Stealing on a Monday

Sunday Stealing: The Can't Sleep Meme

Would it be hard to kiss the last person you kissed?

Not At All, was the love of my life.

When is it hard to kiss someone?
When you don't like them.... You wonder what you are doing with them, you wonder .....

You're trapped in a room with your most recent ex for three days, what do you do?

Ignore them for as long as possible, and then slate them for every bad thing they ever did.

Does it matter to you if your significant other smokes?
Absolutely.  I wouldn't have them as a significant other if they did. DISGUSTING HABIT

Have you ever regretted letting someone go?
If you love someone let them go, if they don't come back they weren't yours to hold.   No I haven't regretting letting anyone go, but I reckon there are some out there, who regret letting me go, cause I am WONDERFUL.

Where would you go if you were butt naked and locked out of your house?
The SHED. ha ha ha OMG the very thought of it!

Do you want to please everyone?
I do!

Have you ever been called heartless?
Yes, I have. When I left my last work, I was called Heartless and Selfish everyday from handing my notice in until I left. It broke my heart, because the least selfish thing would have been to stay and keep the easy life. I took the last selfish step by opting for the harder choice which would give my children a greater chance.  But in being name called each day, it made me happier to go.

Someone calls you at 3:00 AM, who do you expect it to be?
My mother probably. with some unresolveable question.

Does it matter if your significant other drinks?
Within reason, I don't mind, because I do too, but just not that much.

Could you go the rest of your life without doing drugs?
I don't think so. My curiousity has reached incredible dimensions and I am desperate to bake fairy cakes with hash..... I just can't find any.

Which is better, amazing eyes or an amazing smile?
Amazing eyes!

Do you want to get married and have children one day?
Done and dusted.

Are you easy to get along with?
Very.

Do you ever want to go to sleep and not wake up?
No - I love waking up. What is the day going to throw at me next?

Are you shorter than your Mom?
Nope - She is shrinking.

Describe your life currently in one word:
Chaotic

Are you on medication for anything?
Asthma, HRT

Who would you allow to read your thoughts for one day?
My husband

Are there things in your life that you will never be able to get over?

My Dad dying.  I hate that he missed so much. He never met my husband, knew my kids, seen what I have achieved.

If you woke up naked next to the last person you kissed, what would your reaction be?
I did! and I kissed him again.

I'm In the Middle of A Chain Reaction....

Do you think that life is hard work just to keep us going?

We all have to push and make that extra effort just to achieve... but for what?

You either believe that there is something better at the end of the day, or just trying to make thing better for your children, and your children's children.  I like to think a bit of both.  There are stranger things on earth, than the though that something fantastic is going to come together at the end of all your efforts.

I'd like to think the Mother Ship will be there, and I'll get beamed back up... and we can all laugh at the effort we put in!

From Misery to Happiness Uhuh

Ha ha - I really enjoyed that last meme.

Is funny how questions spark memories, and yes, the instructions were right, the urge to answer the questions was amazing.

I would like to clarify something, the arrest, did not lead to a conviction, and was more of a police intervening before i got into big trouble with toooo much alcohol.  I got sent home, with orders to get on the train back to my edinburgh. My drinking associate at the time, was not so fortunate, she was locked up in a cell over night.  I suppose tho she maybe shouldn't have been so vicious to the police concern.

Everything else is good and well.  Life is Good, and is a big book waiting to be written!

Yes No, No maybe

The Rules:

1. You can ONLY answer ‘Yes’ or ‘No’. 2. You are NOT ALLOWED to explain ANYTHING unless someone comments you and asks—and, believe me, the temptation to explain some of these will be overwhelming. Nothing is exactly as it seems.

Beneath the Winter Snow or So I have been told....

Is winter, officially winter.

I don't notice the time passing because I am so busy all of the time. There ARENT enough hours in the day, and that is the truth.   Weeks are busy with work. I'm out of the house from 8.30 til 18,00, and in the evenings I have an assortment of  part-time work, children going to Volleyball, hockey and Guides, and reiki practise.  Weekends arrive and I have matches to watch, children to ferry and shopping and housework to do.   Sunday night has arrived before I have even sat down.

I take so much pleasure now if I have 1 hour where I can sit and do NOTHING.

Sunday Stealing

The Anniversary of the Day I was born, which was in April.

2. Where were you born?

I was born in a nursing home, in a town called Kilwinning.  The nursing home is still actually a nursing home, but for lives at the end, rather than the beginning

3. Where do you live now?

I live 15 miles down the road from the Nursing Home I was born in. However, since being born in the nursing home, I've been in Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Glasgow, Inverkeithing, Symington.

4. What is your heritage?

Quarter English, Quarter Scottish, Quarter Irish, Quarter Me.

5. Tell us about a weakness.
One of my Ankles is a bit weak. ha ha ha. But seriously, my weakness is Tiramisu, and merangues.  My weakness is sweetness.

6. What's a goal that you'd like to achieve?
I would like to get fit, in all honesty.

7. What is the most overused internet phrase?
LOL, ROFL

8. What was your first thought this morning?
Yurk, I don't feel brilliant.

9. When do you usually go to bed?

About eleven oclock.  I'd prefer to be in my bed at 10, but I always end up staying up too late.

10. Do you smoke? If not, did you ever?

No not something I have ever felt inclined towards.

11. Do you like your current relationship status?
I do. I love my husband with a passion.

12. Do you (or did you) get along with your parents?
Yes.  I think when you reach an age when you can be considered adult, your relationship changes ... there isn't so much reliance on adult appropriate-ness influencing you, and the person who provided that becomes an equal.  In my case, I think my parents became more adult like at the age of 40, and I was able to relate to them on my own level from there on in!  (Do you see what I did there)

13. How often do you drink alcohol?
Less and less often these days.  Seriously. Can't do it any more.  Prefer to wake up awake and alert.

14. Have you ever tried drugs (that weren't prescribed)?
No, despite being open and willing... no stranger ever came up to me and offered me drugs no matter how much i looked willing.  I have a longing to grow a canabis plant and bake cakes to make people happy. My husband says "no".

15. Have you ever gone skinny dipping? If yes, do tell.
Yes, in the summer of 1983? maybe, 82?  Can't really put a date on on, it was a good summer. Long late nights, drinking on the beach after the disco, lightning storms, sometimes not going home at all.  Skinny dipping one night about 1 am, after the Anchorage. There must have been about 30 of us, all stipping down to our undies or less and charging into the very still water, and then suddenly, the stillness was shattered by loud rumbling and the heavens opened. It was amazing.

16. If given the choice, how would you like to die?
Quietly, sitting on a hill in GlenCoe.

17. What did you want to be when you grew up?
Teacher.   And I was for a while.

18. Have you ever been dumped?
Yes. Indeedy.  Better to have loved and lost and all that pish.  Dumped for my mate, dumped for being too good for them, and then there is the joy of walking away from the one who thinks he is doing you a favour, and thinks you should accept a slap now and again.

19. What's on your pizza?
BBQ sauce Beef, chicken and Fried Onions.

20. Have you ever shoplifted?
Yes, at a cafe in town. We asked the Old lady who owned the shop for individual sweets, over and over again, and ever time she turned her back for something else, we pocketed one or two of the items on the counter.  When we thought we had enough, we waited for the total, thinking she'd look at what was there and go "20pence", however we miscalculated how old and dittery she was and totalled everything she had already put on the desk... no mistakes! Damn.  Crime doesn't pay. It costs!

The Friday 5, Courtes

FRIDAY 5
What television series finale did you particularly enjoy?
Quantum  Leap.  I loved Sam's jumping into other people, I was distraught when it finally finished, and my husband and I sat for hours, contemplating the pro's and cons of being trapped forever fulfiling the will of what Sam believed to be God and that there was no fixed outcome which would release him from his destiny.  I miss Sam and Al. I do. But I see Sam in Enterprise, and I see Al in Battlestar Gallactica.

What television series finale did you think was a disservice to the series as a whole?
Dead Like Me!  How you could end a series like that, with no conclusion. Oh My God. I just remembered another one... Now and Again.  How awful was that ending.... he escaped, they were after him he was with him family they knew who he was.... it had the potention to be such a different ending, but they left it hanging in the air. I LOVED THAT PROGRAMME!

What is your favorite dessert?
Tirmamisu. Most definitely. Mine, Sofia Lorens, My husband, Frankie and Benny's . It matters not a jot. give me sponge and marscapone and I'm happy!

What were the circumstances surrounding your most dramatic exit from a room? My dramatic exit was not from a room, but from outside, into a room. I got up to help my neighbour fit a baby seat in his car, and as I stood there talking to him, i looked down at the puddle forming between my legs, and looked up and said to him, "oh bloody hell, look at that I'm pee'ing myself, and I can't stop.  His realisation was quicker than mine... and he ran off to get his mum, screaming "helen's in labour".  I turned and ran quickly into the house...

If you could choose any symbolic way to end 2009, how would you end it?

A Big party where I burnt all my bank statements and credit card bills, because I won the Christmas Lottery and paid everyone off!

I Can't Believe the News Today, I can't close my eyes and make it go away.

Is life.

There is only one why are we wasting it on stupid things.  Bills, bank charges, stressful times.

Love, Dance, and Chat.  That's all we should be doing. To hell with the worrying.

Sunday Stealing, on A MOnday.....

Sundaystealing.blogspot.com

1. Name someone with the same birthday as you.
Violet, who was in the same class as me at primary school. We had the same birthday!  Kirstin Dunst, Merril Osmond! Queen Juliana of the Netherlands, Willie Nelson!  That's quite a nice list eh?

2. Where was your first kiss?

A Room in the Taurus Park Hotel, Magaluf. Right hand side of the rooms directly against the bar roof.  When I was 10, yes, read 10.  My sister being more Sexually advanced than me, was sneaking out of an evening, to meet with boys, at the terribly grownup age of 13.  A friend of the boy she was meeting that evening, turned up "looking for them", and came in. Asked for a kiss. All lovely and polite. And yes, I did quite enjoy it, but then he spoilt it by saying "can't i have a feel of your tit", There it ended, for about the next 3 years!

3. Have you ever hit someone of the opposite sex? If yes, why?
Yes, I beat my husband (to be at the time), to a pulp. So loudly and alarmingly that my flat mates simultaneously had on the washing machine, two tvs, radios in both rooms and the hoover.   They then had the cheek to say, nothing he had done warranted the assault! Hmmm, I beg to differ.  Suffice to say it had to do with his availability to have a relationship with me!

4. Have you ever sung in front of a large number of people? When?

Yes, on holiday, a beautiful French campsite, inhabited mostly (thank goodness) by French people, who I love with a passion. (frequently, ha ha ) at the entertainment nights, we cheated at games, and laughed loudly, not being able to speak to each other very well.  Then came a night of compared entertainment, one person nominating another when a forfeit fell.  I made an exit to the "toilet", and came back to find them "looking around", I knew with a horrified heart that they were looking for me, and dragged me to the stage.

There I had to answer a series of questions on French Chart Hits, in French, I had not a clue other than Claude Francois, who seems to be the biggest thing in France, despite the fact he was dead 20 years.   I answered Claude to all questions, all my answers were wrong, and my forfeit, I had to Sing to the Audience! Hmm. Luckily I reckoned on the love of Village People, and launched into a fantastic ha ha ha version of YMCA which thankfully EVERYONE joined in with, so I was not singing alone for long!

5. What's the first thing you notice about your preferred sex?
Their personality. Their Eyes, their smile, their bum. ha ha ha ha Their laugh. I love to laugh!

6. What really turns you off?
SCHMOKING

7. What is your biggest mistake?
Hmm, difficult one. I don't like to think I've made mistakes, maybe poor judgement, and every poor judgement leads to a new adventure!  biggest error of judgement was trading one job in for another, which turned out to almost be the breaking of me, but I survived, and learned from the mistake!  Live for the Day!

8. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?

See Above answer. At my worst, I almost ate the skin from my fingers, and contemplated a jump from a hot air balloon.  Then I realised I had to stop and take account. So I did. And left.

9. Say something totally random about yourself.

Hmm ,I like being me!

10. Has anyone ever said you looked like a celebrity?
Hmm, only once. A wee kid with Down's syndrome was telling everyone they looked like celebrities, one chap was John Travolta, (not), Someone else was Olivia, (not), and I was someone from Hairspray. I think she was confusing the weight issue, with actual looks!  It was a very polite way of saying "jees but your fat"

11. Do you still watch kiddie movies or TV shows?
Of Course. My daughter is 15, and adores all types of pump which I will gladly sit with her and watch.   Pony Club, or something stupid, like that, with these squeaky girls, and the same squeaky girls, in babysitters club, or overnighters club. What else. Wizards of Waverly?  Yes, with another squeaky girl, and Hannah Montanna, with a horrible midget in it.

12. Are you comfortable with your height?
Hmm, I always was. I used to be 5'5.5, but now I'm 5'4.5 I lost an inch after birthing.  I think my hips swung apart, and my spine dropped a bit. Would explain the sore back I was left with!

13. What is the most romantic thing someone of the preferred sex has done for you?
Hmm, my darling husband, when I had just had my hysterectomy, held my stomach hard as I threw up all over the floor so that my internal stitches didn't burst. He then washed me all down, got me clean jammies, and then had to do it all again when I promptly heaved again.

Another time, when love was young, he sent me 12 red roses from Holland, while he was in the Gulf, to remember our 1st anniversary. For the first four years, I got 12, then 24, then 36, 48, at 5th anniversary I got 5.  Now when I get flowers, I get so emotional I cry.

14. When do you know it's love?
Hmm, when your heart still flips everytime you see him, and that includes, when you turn over for a night night kiss, and when you wake up in the morning and he's laying beside you.

15. What's something that really annoys you?
Hmm, schmoking.

I Taut I taw A Puddie Cat

How can you not love her!  Is the cutest wee lump around!  What a smiley face to come home to... and yes, she was looking at me upside down. She's not a cat for standing on all fours smiling sweetly!

Someone Get Me Outta This Place Right Now

I love Ant and Dec, I do, I love Colin and Justin, I love George Hamilton.  But I can take no more of the media whoring that is KP/J.

I have decided that rather than watching and screaming at the TV, I'm going to do something more product and interesting than KP/J ever was. I cleaned the bathroom.

Cleaning the bathroom is quite therapeutic. It isn't quite as clean as I would like it yet, but I'm getting there. Loads of stuff to be thrown out, so I'm off to do that now!

I actually think, on pondering it, that C and J could be the new A and D.  What's not to love about them!  Gay Guys are the New Boys' best mates!

Friday, November 20, 2009

I hope you'll understand, this time is just for me...

After my stress of last week where my life didn't seem to be my own any more, I am looking forward to a weekend of relative relaxation.

Toolibelle is away to Edinburgh for the Weekend, with the Guides for her Baden Powell Award Trip.  A weekend full. I wouldn't have minded going.... Cinema tonight for New Moon.... wow!  tomorrow, shopping, Dynamic Earth, Parliment, Castle, Museum.... Finishing off with Frankie and Benny's for tea on Sunday night! What a brilliant trip!

Boy is out to the pictures tonight, with Girlfriend, also New Moon... I'll wait for the DVD!  Tomorrow both of them are going away to Volleyball .

Me, I'll be laying in my bed!  I'm going to house work tonight, assuming I'm feeling okay.  I have been plagued with Migraine since yesterday morning. It didn't feel so bad, and so I lay in bed sleeping til 1030, and went into work, but the head was still nagging.  I went back to bed when I got home, but even at that still felt awful when I went back to bed at 11.

This morning, felt okay, got to work, and went rapidly went downhill. By lunchtime i could barely lift my head, and since then I've been in bed...... Am up now, but very delicate. I'll not be doing much. Think I'll probably head to bed soon.

It's Like A Jungle Sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under.

Bloody hell. A weekend gone, and this time it went like a flash.

Friday night I was Reiking, I didn't get in til 9.30. Saturday morning, up at 6.50 to go and collect Boy from Girlfriends.  Back home, and off to hockey with Tooli, despte the fact that the rain was pishing down from the heavens!

Back home, quick change into dry clothes, and off to Edinburgh for volleyball, volleyball for a couple of hours, and then we drove over to Dunfermline, which which was a strange experience.  Back home, quick curry bed.

Back up Sunday. Boy to Prestwick, Girl to Marr, back home. Shopping, back home - en route Nant and Nunks....say hello, grab a pair of shoes, and off home, shopping away. Back out to get Tooli, back home to do the typing, sit here, update web page, catch Dr Who. I LOVE DR WHO, and here I sit now.... YAwnnn Exhausted.

Sunday Stealing : The Over the Top Mem

Sunday Stealing: The Over the Top Meme

Part One - Describe:

Your hair?
A bit messy.  Several different colours, probably grey underneath, in fact I know it is underneath, but I'm not sure just how bad it is. I'm in the process of trying to find out. I'm rejecting permanent colour in favour of temporary and so far, I'm not liking what I'm seeing.

Your mother?

Has just turned 70 and is just as bad now as she was at 50! Prone to a good night out, and prone to jetting out all over the world, or Tenerife. What can you do with them??

Your father?
Is a hawk. Living on and around the A78 A77, or in fact wherever I am in a car wondering about him.  The human version of him died way back in 1985, but he has been reborn as a hawk, looks quite like him, and I know he's keeping an eye on me! Is brilliant!
Your favorite food?
Anythink my husband cooks. Seriously. I am prone to a risotto, or anything that he produces.   Eating out, I like a nice rare fillet Steak, King Prawns, Tiramisu
Your dream last night?
I had a funny wee dream, on Thursday night, can't remember Friday or Saturday. My daughter was pleased with Thursday's dream tho.
Your favorite drink?
Drambui on Ice.
Your dream/goal?
To have enough money to do EVERYTHING.
The room are you in?
Our living room.  In shades of Beige, and a nice big red throw to brighten things up.  Avril Paton Prints. French Prints a reminder of a weekend in Paris. Ikea Lamps, flat screen TV. and piles of washing....
Your hobby?
Reiki, Card Making, Bad Knitting.
Your fear?
My children not being happy.
Your TV?
A flat screen, with Dr Who on it!
Your Pets?
Beany and Beau, our two cats! We used to have Garp and Rue, The Original Pussy Cats, but they both died a couple of years ago and we were heart broken, it took a half eaten tunnock teacake, and three dead mice in traps before Si was convince enough to get another one, then there were also the bunny who sadly now are also past. Thumper and Blue were gorgeous Bunnies who we all loved.
Friends?
My Si is my best friend in the world.  The Wee-Devil is my dearest bud.  She know my secrets (of which there are really none), and I know hers, normally about 3 months after they occur. ha ha ha ha, and then she lies some more to cover them up.  I have a myriad of Fiona.  Apparently I attract Fiona towards me.
Your life?
Is precious and busy.
Your mood?
Is variable.  Much more middle of the road now - I use to have major mood swings but since I started Reiki, not so much. Much gentler person now.
If you're missing someone?
I was missing my Si yesterday.  He was up a hill. Spends a lot of time up there...
Your best friend?
My honey Si.
Part Two - The Where's?

Where do you want to be in 6 years?
Sunning myself in Los Angeles celebrating my son's new job with a major universaity in California.
Where were you last night?
Was here, on couch, after a tiring day, at Hockey Pitch, in Rain, In Edinburgh and briefly, Dunfermline.
Where did you grow up?
In Troon.  And now I've come back.
One place that I go to over and over?
Edinburgh. I love Edinburgh. In my heart it is home.   I felt it yesterday.
Your favorite place to eat out?
Right now, is Grill on the Corner.
Wish list items?
a new car for my son, a wardrobe for my daughter, full of designer "belts"
Last time you laughed?
I laugh all the time. Life is fun.
Last time you cried?
Oh I cried, loads at an Episode of Alli McBeal recently. I hadn't watched it in forever, and WAM. It got me, unexpected. I was sooo distraught.
Part Three - The What's?

Something that you aren't?
Slim
Last thing you did?
transcription for  a court case
What are you wearing?
joggies and a zebra t-shirt
Something you're not wearing?
Jumper
Your favorite store?
I love Borders Books.  Especially if they have a starbucks.

Gonna Break out of the city, leave the People here behind....

Another late night last night and again I was with wee-devi and again we were at a comedian.

This week, I enjoyed it more. I wasn't left saddened by the experience.   Julian Clary last week, was like a sad and bitter version of his former snappy bitchy self and it was uneasy to watch I felt.  People were laughing, but to me, they sounded as if they were forcing it out. Much ho ho ho ho ing, and it wasn't really that funny.

Last night, Eddie Izzard.  Complete other end of the scale.  Whereas Julian was at the Pavillion which perhaps suited his faded and dated self Eddie was in the SECC - a couple of halls banged together I think.... perhaps in the region of 10,000 people there. I think the hall has capacity of 12,500 seated! It was unbelievable to see all these people filing in, - they weren't even all seated when he came on stage.

We were so far away, I could barely make him out on Stage, but there were 50 ft screens on stage, so he was very visible.   You forgot sometimes, that he was the little spec on the stage, and what we were watching was no more than a TV performance.   Wee-Devil however, could see better than I could (I've lost my glasses by the way, has anyone seen them?).  She even spotted Beardo across the hall..... I was pissing myself laughing... All i could see was a mass of heads... she was actually able to pick out Beardo and all her mates sitting probably about half a mile away. ha ha ha!

Anyways, in honour of Eddie today I have read the terms and conditions of a competition BEFORE i signed the agreement!

Lest We Forget

What color is your watch?
Silver. All of them. The Fake Rolex, the Bangle, The Swatch.  Silver is my Watch Colour.

What do you think of when you hear “Australia”?

Koalas, Barbeques, Beaches, Surfing,

Would you strip for money?

I would strip for money, but I think I would make more money getting money to prevent me taking my clothes off.  Not too pretty a sight!

Do you go in a fast food place or just hit the drive thru?#

Hit the Drive Thru. I hate the people who are in these places..... And to be faced with a team of servers who lack the appropriate attitude for a place like this is mind numbing

What is your favorite number?
6 - I gave birth to my son in Room 6. I decided that morning, 6 was my lucky number.  Sadly, it didn't make the birthing process easy. It was almost 24 hours long, and easily the most excruciating experience I have ever.
Who’s the last person you talked to on the phone?
My Boy.  The one I gave birth to in Room Six. I missed his message telling me when to collect him, and he phoned to find me.
Any plans today?
Today, almost done. The plan was, get up be busy and constructive. Unfortunately, unplanned hangover did for me.  I had to drag myself out of bed and take Tooli Belle to Remembrance Parade. She decided at last moment to go... hmmm.   I did that, and then headed back to bed. Lay around comatose for about 3 hours, and then dragged myself back up, and tried to tidy myself up. Yawn. What a waste of a day!
In how many states have you lived?
Ayrshire, South, But it was once called Strathclyde for a while, does that count as 2?  City of Edinburgh, Kingdom of Fife, Lanarkshire.
Biggest annoyance right now?
Wasting my day, after drinking too much last night!  What a waste!
Last song listened to?
Rock DJ sung by the Moronic Duo, that is John and Edward.
Can you say the alphabet backwards?
No! Why would I need to.
Do you have a maid service clean your house?
Ha ha ha ha ha ha That is a really funny question.
Favorite pair of shoes you wear all the time?
I only do one pair of shoes at a time. The last pair I had I sold on Ebay to a foot fetish fiend. ha ha ha Yes, he actually bought a pair of shoes which were falling apart, stinking, and rotten!
Are you jealous of anyone?
Yes, Gary Barlow's wife.  I think he must sing songs to her!
Is anyone jealous of you?
When I was at school, a girl once wrote my name, in biro all over a new text book.  When she was asked why she had done it, she said "because I don't like everything she has". The teacher said she was jealous of me! I was a mediocre at best student -Mid Grades everywhere. I had a small group of friends, I wasn't one of the "populars",  I couldnt see what she had to be jealous about.... but there you go!
Do you love anyone?
I love everyone I have.
Do any of your friends have children?
Yes.
What do you usually do during the day?
Working.  9 - 5.30
Do you hate anyone that you know right now?
I don't waste energy on hate. Karma gets them in the end.
Do you use the word hello daily?
I do indeed.  As I do also, Gorgeous!
What color is your car?
Blue...
What size wedding ring do you wear?
My finger sized.
Are you thinking about someone right now?
Yes, My husband, he is sitting opposite me, and is lovely. I love him to bits.
Have you ever been to Six Flags?
I'm not sure what Six Flags is.
How did you get your worst scar?
None of my scars are bad.  I have a wee one on my head, where I was hit by a swing when I was 5.  I have a scar on my nose, where I had a horrible mole removed, but it is perfectly shaped down the side of my nose. I have a laparoscopy scar in my belly button, but I think it is cute, a hysterectomy scar, which is perfectly cut against the curve of my belly, so is lovely also.  I have a new one today.  On my lip. Maybe it will be my worst... A stitch fell out today. and it might be open a wee bit.  But my lips are gorgeous anyways, so a wee scar isn't going to make any odds.

You'll Remember a Place, Someone Touching your Face....

Friday 5

1) Which one is more irritating- being too hot or being too cold?

Being Too Hot, I can't bear it. My son is the same. We are off the same stock.  No jackets, shirt sleeves, much better, Windows open to the world, cold drafts everywhere.  Standing with the minimum of clothes on, on a frosty day, at the back door is my idea of heaven.  I can't bear being overwhelmed with heat.  It makes me sleepy.  coldness keeps me sharp, and keeps sore heads at bay.

2) Were you born in the winter or the summer?
I was born in Spring, neither Summer, nor Winter!   Is probably why I prefer cooler weather.  Too hot.. TOOO MUCH

3) What are your favourite foods to eat when you need to warm up and cool down?
When I need to warm up, there is nothing better than a lovely bowl of SOUP  - Home made. Non of this tinned stuff, although there is nothign wrong on occassion with a tin of Heinz.. Heinz anything actually!  Si makes the BEST Lentil and Bacon, and French Onion, or just regular veg.  I can make Coconut and Sweetcorn, but that isn't one you can eat every day for a week, like I can with Si's Soups! Yumser

4) Which one are you more likely to suffer from- hayfever or flu- and does it run in your family?
Hay Fever, which is slightly, no greatly more tolerable than Tonsilitus which I used to get every 7 weeks without fail.  If it wasn't Tonsils, it was the Cold, and one tended to run in to the other. When I got my tonsils out, the colds got better.  Since they started doshing out Flu Jabs, the colds have got better still. I'm still prone to exploding with sneezers everywhere.  Right now -the cleaners in this office use something, so every Tuesday and Thursday I spent a good part of the day sneezing.  Not a problem tho, at least I know my nose works!

5) You are granted a day of perfect weather whenever you like. What day do you place it on and why?
October 3rd.  The Sky is Clear and Bright, the air is Nippy to the touch, and you can breathe air that came down a weather front from Norway.   My dad died on the 3rd October, and although that day was damp and dreich, every October since then has been lovely (In my mind). Its nice when you have a day like that to contemplate what has been, what could have been, and what will be.

Got to Find Me an Angel........ In My Life.....

I've got one!  My Si, is my angel. he looks after me and loves me, and I am enternally in love with him in return.  I can't look after him - I'm pretty damn useless that side of things, but he's happy with me loving him.

Anyways, I said I hoped I'd be better by the end of the week, and bloody hell I am! Is amazing! yesterday I was feeling pretty pap. But today, after a great nights sleep I feel amazing! Awake, Alert, no pain, nothing all wonderful!  The lip is looking okay.... the stitches have settled and the swelling has gone down.... only problem i have now, is licking them!  It is like having little hairy bits  on your lip - or little dried bits of skin, and the inclination is to nip them, But I mustn't I mustn't!

Is keeping it really clean tho - just little holes where the stitches went in now, and the little stitches coming out. no blood, no scabs.  Is all good!

Last night Me and K-bob went to see Julian Clary. Bit sad!  He wasn't as quick or bright as he usually was. Maybe it was the venue ( Pavillion), it isn't quite as flash as you might expect, maybe it was his age, - he was "celebrating" being 50, although I thought he was rather depressed as he recounted high lights from his life... strictly..., Joan Collins Fan Club, Fanny the Wonder Dog, Norman Lamont. .... It was all very humdrum ho drum, and a lively gay audience enjoying every minute.

Ah Well. There is always hope for Eddie next week.

It's nice to know somebody loves me

Day after my surgery and I'm feeling slightly better.   Lip is tightening up nicely, and only slight bruising. The pain in it isn't as severe as yesterday and I've managed since this morning without painkillers.

However, I did take anti-inflamatories for my aching wrists and made myself feel ill, and spent most of the afternoon in bed  feeling really, really sick.

Sometimes I think you just have a run of feeling pap.  This is my week. Hopefully by the end of the week, I'll be back on form.

When You're Smiling, When You're Smiling, The Whole World Smiles With you

Oh my goodness.  I can't smile.  My face is killing me.

I've had a wee surgery on my face, and I have 5 stitches on my lip.... .It was great at the time. No pain at all, the Doctor was totally brilliant.  2 hours later, Local wears off, and Now my face is excruciating.  OMG.

Hopefully though, it fix the exploding lip I have been suffering for the last odd years.

Pain Killer Sedation for the next 48 hours I think.

They just make you worse, and I know I'll see your face again

So on my way to work, I park on the beach and walk into the town. I pass a chemist, where in the morning, before it opens people gather to get in first and get their daily methadone dose.  What is all that about! No. no. no.
They are addicted to the methadone, they supplement it with other drugs too. Why are we are a nation, supplying these people with drugs to make it worse?  I don't get it!
At least they look happy and not so desperate when they come out.

Please note that this photo is being used as an illustration, and I am in no way suggesting that this chemist, or these people are involved in a methadone programme.

It’s been a long road - getting from there to here.

It's been ages since I actually sat and wrote, so now I am getting down to it.

Life is exceptionally busy. Kids both playing volleyball til their kit is soaked, Tooli, with the added excitement of Hockey.   Boy is applying for jobs every day, but the lack of availability on Saturdays and Sundays is making him undesirable.  On the good side, he got great results in his SATs so the step towards USA is a little bit closer.

I'm working 9-5.30 every day, typing Monday - Thursday evenings (if I can), and Reiking on a Friday.   Si was catering my mum's birthday last week, so he was flat out Thursday til the party got underway. We were all shattered on Saturday.  But it doesn't stop. Tooli had hockey bus to catch at 8.10, Boy had to go and get to Volley for 10!,  We finallyl dragged ourselves together and went to watch Tooli, and were highly entertained by Boy trying to rip his heart out being bored line judging her match.

Today, Si is away already to Bathgate / Livingston - Boy has Jnr National League matches over there.  I am about to wake the Tool, she has matches in Troon, which isn't so bad, and while she is doing that, I will do the shopping and try and drag this house together.

Last night I turned into Grumpy old woman, and shut off lights, and closed the door to Guisers!  I just wanted peace and quiet in me hoose - and not to be disturbed by a stream of weans and their parents marching in demanding sweets and savories in return for a poem, or song! Although I have to admit each year, there was usually one really good filthy joke, made better by it being told by a 10 year old! ha ha ha
