Yeah you and me we can light up the sky ..........

Flip.

My Si has a cold sore. I have told him he has herpes. He blames me. He says I am the only person he has kissed, therefore, I must have kissed someone else, and thereby and therefore, given him herpes. Cheek of it!

Is quite sweet. Is looking like a duck with a little beak. I find it quite attractive.

Even more so, now that he has decided not to shave one half of the top of his lip, so he has a half moustache, which I'm finding V. attractive!

Are you a mentalist or an illusionist?
Most definitely a Mentalist. I'm Reiki Practitioner (with certificates), and you know... after training, I realised that the Reiki was there all the time, I just didn't know what to call it!

You’re on a roll. Do you feel the roll you’re on?
Most definitely. I'm feeling life is good right now, and everything is there for the taking. Watch out World.... cause I'm coming at ya!

How many performances a week?
Everyday is a performance. Each and every single day. My life is my performance. There are no rehearsals.

Is there a little bit of Evel Knievel in you?
Daredevil??? I think so, I think you need to be a wee bitty daredevilish to exist in this world and have people notice you. People who don't dare, don't live.

How much of what you do is physical, by the way?
Getting out of bed, is quite a physical activity; showering, getting dressed and driving to work. Then I muchly sit on my butt all day. Except for those days, when I'm feeling the energy and am driven outside, to partake in the fresh air. In the Evenings, I'm very physical. I have to restrain my husband, chase my children, and every other night, I take a 3 mile walk. That's how physical I am!

Enjoy!

We Gotta Work, Work, Work this out....

Am sad.

Tap Dancing was brilliant tonight. Walking fast is paying off. I wasn't QUITE as knackered tonight. Although repeating the dance 12 times over is a BIT excessive.

However, problem lies in Performance. Is on 12th December. Which is the same night as Eilidh's school dance. It's a no-can-do. She can't be in both places at the same time, and now she is sad. I'm sad too, because I love dancing with her, we have a giggle together, and we are as Good/Bad As each other. Still there will be other Dance Shows... (we do at least 4 a year!), but there will only be one, second year Christmas dance, in a Jane Norman dress!

On a lighter note. I heard from George Galloway's secretary today. I'm organising a wee surprise for K's birthday (which is 6th December if anyone would like to wish Wee-devil a Happy Birthday). I emailed him a while ago, and he came straight back to me. This surprised me and now I have a higher opinion of him than I did before.

He was funny and quick to respond, and, now I find happy to oblige.

I may not agree with him on his policies and view, but I don't agree with K and her devotion to him (I might add here, that K's devotion is not lust, or love, but like a devotee to a Kind Uncle who saves her!). Anyways, she is in for a nice surprise.

It might even be there tomorrow!

Someone I am, is waiting for Courage

Need Your Help.

Donate Please

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,

K is unwell.

So unwell she went to the Doctors.

Hair loss, lethargy, poor skin, droopy eye, and a bad case of crying at the X-factor. The Doctor with Sweat Marks under his arm pits and a rare case of BO laughed. What kind of Doctor laughs when a patient is open enough to admit they cry during X-factor? A Cruel Doctor! Get a new one, K".

I said, "you need happy pills". But she hasn't acknowledged that comment at all. I know she needs happy pills, because I used to have (a)Lethargy, and more importantly (b), a bad case of crying at the TV. I understand K's problem. I know that she isn't crying because the X-Factor is so BAD. She is crying, because she is living the emotions of the poor sods who are on the X-Factor.

When I needed the happy pills (the first time), I used to cry at Neighbours. Yes, tragic I know, but there is it. That is how I knew there was something wrong with me.

Well actually that is a lie. I knew there was something wrong with me, when I took the continental quilt cover off my bed, dragged it into a cupboard, got inside it, and cried for 3 hours.

My Doctor thought I was pregnant, (till he met me - I had my first consultation down the phone, I wouldn't leave the house).

The Taxi Driver recognised that part of the problem was the Mad 80 year old next door. His words to me, as he drove me home (still crying), when he dropped me at the house was " oh, If I lived next door to that lunatic, I'd be crying too".

However, the reality is a chemical imbalance. I'm prone to it. A logical person could see it. I'm either very very up, or very very very very down. With happy pills, I am a more logical, balanced person, and those around me do not suffer the slings and arrows of my manic mood swings.

The saddest part of my first outbreak of HappyPillitus was the after crying at the lunchtime edition of neighbours, I would then take my seat at 5.25 for the tea-time repeat, praying that it would be happier than the lunch time one??

Figure that.

When your world is full of strange arrangements..

Wow. Busy Weekend.

Making the most of every minute. Got up, helped Stevo with Paper round, had brekkie, drove to Edinburgh.

Farmers Market on Castle Terrace...... German Market at the National Galleries, Lunch in Filing Station.... poor service and poor chips!

Bought the most fantstic Vodka Liqueur from Demijohn Fudge from the farmers market, Ostrich Burgers, Hats, Sweets, Nuts. We walked miles. It was brilliant.

Got home about 5, grabbed a chinese, and settled down with a bottle of Vin. Si had some beer, Eilidh had strawberry whips! Steven went out with keith and Andy... ended up out all night! I almost passed out about 11, (I think, can't really remember), and woke up this morning with mad aching head. Had several lovely cups of tea, and a bacon buttie, before I was able to drag myself from my pit), after watched Charmed. I was late to this programme, but I lurve it! I haven't watched an eposide I haven't lurved!

Then headed to Irvine to get the shopping, highly entertained on the way by new GPS.... heh heh heh - it comes with the IPAQ. What a giggle. Best laugh is driving away from where Dave wants you to go. He gets quite agitated.

Back home, sort the tea, register my airmiles...... have tea.

Just fnished watching Heros. Am so tempted to read the web site, and find out what happens in last two episodes, but shouldn't really. Wait and Watch... wait and watch....

Will have to get stuck in about the christmas shopping...... it's coming soon. December at the end of the week!

Doin Doo Wop Be Dooby Do Aye

Friday Night is mad night!

Si to Scouts, Steven and Eilidh to orchestra. I do the housework (snigger snigger), I brush the floor, hoover, fold the ironing, and maybe if I'm good, plump up the cushions on the couch.

I did have really good intentions, but When I come in on Friday, and the kids have gone out, and then Si goes, the quiet is too nice to miss, and I like to just sit, sit and be quiet for a little while. It happens so rarely.

So that's what I'v e been doing, and now... am just about to start running round in a mad panic to get the place looking like maybes aye, I have been doing something!

tee hee.

If a really, really good photographer — the kind who always makes you look good and still look like you — were to take your photo right now, what would be a good title for it? O M G Get Your Hair Coloured.

If that photo were so good it belonged on the cover of a magazine, what would be a good choice, based on where you are and what you’re doing? Saga - Look Oldies, are Getting Younger - How Grey is She

If you took an interesting or aesthetically pleasing photo of something in your view right now, what might it be, and what would its title be? Arran on a Frosty Morning (see my http://www.flickr.com/ Dylcruz)

Among people you know, who seems to have a knack for taking great shots of people? Peter the Ribbeck.... see also www.flickr.com and search people "rvzpeter"

Are you usually happier with candid photos of you, or photos you’ve posed for? Photos I've posed for, then I can tip my head back, and you wouldn't see double chin, or grey hairs!

But The Fire is So Delightful

Yes, it is getting to that stage. It was so cold this morning, that I fell asleep again, snuggled under the blankets! Well actually that is not why I fell asleep again, that was just because I was really really sleepy, but the thought of the cold outside, just made me sneak further under the covers. I could quite happily have stayed there all day.

Steven was out at a party last night and football training. Where he gets his energy from I have no idea! Eilidh was studying.... that's excellent isn't it! Can't get Steven to pick up a book!

Flip, well I'd better get on and go and get dried off before I leave to go to work... just the hairy head, that's all. I have fun ahead of me today. Sending my Motorola Rzrv off to get replaced, and taking my IPAQ

Later, Dudes.

Still See that Tackle By Moore and When Linaker Scored....

Oh Shit.

England are playing Croatia. They have to draw or win to get thru to the European Cup next year. Presently they are 1-2 down. It is disastrous. Croatia scored twice in first 14 minutes.

My husband is in pieces on the edge of the couch.

I have to say it isn't looking likely.

Bring Back Gazza.

You're Just Too Good To be True......

K, has got a droopy Eye.

She tells me that it is her Right eye. Now I'm looking at this picture, and I'm seeing Left Eye? I am assuming the Droopy Eye, is not the Bright, Wide Open Left Eye?

Help?

Can anyone suggest (a), which eye it is, and (B) what has caused it?

I don't Feel Like Dancing, no Sir No Dancing today

Jeez.

I'm trying, really really, trying, but honestly. tap nearly finished me tonight.

I'm sitting here in a state of shock. Bloody Hell. So much exercise and torture in 60 short minutes.

Flipping hairies.

I wanna eat cake ...............

A CAke!

Like what you said.

And some will take eternity to believe..........

Time is passing too fast. Does anyone else notice this?

When I was 7, I remember thinking that I was never going to get thru School, because time was dragging so slowly! I thought, "jeez, another 11 years of this!" Now I'm sitting thinking that was 36 years ago.... Where did it all go? I've been with Simon 21 years, and a bit. It seems like yesterday I met him, but no, it's been all that time. My babies.... they aren't babies, 13, and 16 years! It's all I can do to crush more and more into each day in an attempt to slow down the movement of time.

smack, just one kiss and I was outta whack

There it's gone AGAIN.

Friday night arrived, really quickly, and zoom - Monday morning was there twice as fast!

I took Eilidh and Laurie down to Guide Camp on Friday night. It was just a wee short one - an opening had come up and they took it.

Then I came home and settled in to Children In Need. Some of it was rubbish (Mostly the STV contribution), but some of it was highly amusing!

Si came in at 9.45 and the three of us sat til 1 am watching the activities!

Up early on Saturday morning, Steven had a volleyball training sess in Glasgow. Si and I dropped him off and then went for a bimble around the town.

After up and down Sauchiehall street, and about an hour in Waterstons (where I came up with the full name of K and My Shop - Aurora Borealis Buck Bean Books), we headed out to Kelvingrove. I wanted to see the funny heads! Wow! They were funny.

We had something to eat in the museum restaurant - a rather nice little Sweet Potato and Prawn Soup... yummy, and freshly baked roll.

We headed over to the kelvin hall then, and watched Steven knock his pan out at Volleyball. My gawd he doesn't half bounce around that pitch. I don't know where he gets the energy.

We realised he wasnt' going to finish anytime soon, so we had a donner round the Transport Museum - much disgusted to realise that the cars they had in the Vintage Section were actually cars we have driven about in, during what seems to us, the recent past! How Depressing.

Steven called to say he had finished and we headed home - the rain was pouring by this time, and I could barely see the road. Eilidh came home about 6.30, and we sat in for the night -well we did. Steven headed out again, much to his sister's disgust. The Volleyball club were having a fund raising night at the Ardneil hotel, and he was "obliged" to go. Ha puff, was he, he just wanted to go to the pub!

He staggered in about 1215, pretending desperately that he hadn't been drinking! huh, yeah, neither he had! Straight to bed. Out for the count!

On Sunday, He had volleyball again. A school match this time. Dropped him off at 10.30, then headed off for the Shopping, came back, dropped off some lunch for him, and headed into the town. Wintertainment was in full flow, Santa's, facepainting, pipe bands and majorettes a plenty. And for the first time in probably 15 years, Santa didn't make it in on the helicopter. The Helicopter got called away on an emergency, so Santa got dropped off by Life boat instead! I only ever went to see the sailors on the Helicopter.

Eilidh was face painting with the Guides! Wintertainment just isn't the same without wee people to keep you going. We headed off up the road, lacking in Christmas spirit!

And there endeth, my weekend AGAIN!

The Friday 5 ...... on Saturday........

Have you ever considered running away from home? Yes I have. three years ago. I was v. v. unhappy, and running away definitely felt like a good idea.

Have you ever actually run away from home? (If so, for how long?) Nope.

What would make you want to run away from home? Desperation

What would you do if a friend ran away to your house? Phone whoever they had ran away from, tell them they were okay. Get them drunk, reassure them and then SEND THEM HOME.

If you were going to run away from home, where would you go?
Paris........Wee Hotel in the Montmatre.....and drink wine.

Keep an Open Mind Until the Day Sets In

Is Wednesday, and for those of you keeping up, both kids did come home on Saturday night. Eilidh spent most of the evening grading those who were snogging. Who looked right / who didn't. Very education. She had a ball and was all flushed when she came in. I think there may have been a few pecks on the cheek at the very least!

Steven finally arrived home about 12.30!!! I was going frantic. He phoned and told me he was setting off at 1120 - and since Steph only stays along the road (about 1 mile) I really was expecting him before midnight. When I phoned at 1220 he explained that Steph's dad wanted to drive them home and so they were waiting their turn. - Here they all are in all their glory! James Bond, Waitress, Hippy, Surgeon, Poirrot, Pirate, Mini Mouse, Cowboy, Kissing Booth, Bunch of Grapes (yes really) - and John McLaine... Die Hard (with the Ailien Antenna). tee hee.

Sunday past in a blur as always. I was having a lie in while the rest of the family headed to the Remembrance Parade. Then I got a text to say that Eilidh was Flag Bearer, and Steven was Laying the Wreath for the Scouts, so I dived up, dragged clothes on, and managed to get down the town in time to see them all.

Then it was Football, and the shopping..... Steven was frozen on the way home (so was I, but I'm not going to complain, I sat most of the match in the car.

Finally we got home, had a curry - no one could be arsed cooking. And sat and chilled in front of the tv!

Tonight is Steven's parents' night at school. I am NOT looking forward to this!

Sunday, November 11, 2007

And I am feeling a little peculiar....................

Is November. Is almost December, which means almost Christmas. Amazing.

I haven't done any Christmas Shopping but I found a lovely catelogue last night and rowsed the web page. I think it is a company set up by someone who won the lottery and just wanted to sell things they liked, with no regard for market forces. Very nice.

I hope life treats you kind .................

My baby has just gone out to a party. A real party where there will be boys and kissing. She looked FANTASTIC. I bent all her hair (I can't call it curled), and she chose her own clothes and did her make up . Oh Wow. My baby has grown up. All Grown Up!

My other baby is just about to go out. Is going as James Bond to costume party. Is very particular about his appearance and this suits him just fine.

There are more and more nights now, where Si and me are left sitting in, either waiting to go and pick up, or waiting for the drop off. We're not quite at that stage yet where we can go out and leave them to it, but it's definitely approaching. I'm quite sad about that.

It's odd but just recently I've been having resigned thoughts about not having any more babies - this is a mad thought, because I had my womb removed 3 years ago..... and it never bothered me at the time. My body clock is obviously still throwing out the signals and telling me that time "would be" running out.

I loved my wee slugs! I always remember the nurse saying to me in the hospital, did I need to speak to the psychologist, because my baby was beautiful, not a slug", but they were always wee slugs to me... That's what I miss most, my slug hugs.

The Friday 5

From The Friday 5 :

What’s something that’s hanging from your ceiling?

There is in fact a spider hanging from the ceiling in the hall. I'm inclined to leave it there because my husband says that Spiders are good for getting rid of flies, and I hate flies more than I hate spiders. As long as it stays in the hall I don't mind. If it was in the bedroom, it would have to be peacefully removed. When I was confined to bed when expecting my son, I had sciatica, and I lay one night and watched as a spider arrived in the ward thru an open window (bearing in mind the ceilings were about 20 feet high), and crawled across the ceiling until it came to rest right above my bed. And then.... dangled, and dangled a bit more, and then Jumped straight onto my bed. They thought I had gone into Labour I was howling so much!

What’s something that’s hanging on your wall?
I have lovely photo of Taffy a big white dog who lives in our Turkey office. He is wearing a Beneteau skippers hat. He's very very cute.

What’s something that’s hanging in your closet?
A very spectacular corset type top which I am hoping I can get into for Christmas!

What’s hanging from your rear-view mirror? (for those without cars, what’s something hanging from the rear-view mirror of a car you’ve recently ridden in?) There were a pair of furry dice, with cow hide (thanks K), but they have gone in favour of Yankee scent car freshener. Coconut Beach! Yummy.

What have you been hanging onto for too long? Everything I hang on to is precious. I wouldn't hang onto it if it wasnt. I have attic full of hanging on to stuff. Including box of letters sent back and forward to husband while he was in Navy. Love it!

Im wide awake and I can see the

You know that feeling you get when you have a decision to make, and you aren't sure which way to go......Or when you know something is niggling at you and you can't resolve it?

The feeling that that generates, I call the Undertoad.

I got that word from the Book, "The World According to Garp", by John Irvine.

It is perfect description of the feeling. I can say to my husband "oaft, I've got an undertoad", and he sits me down and says "what's bothering you", and we work out together why the undertoad is sitting there, and once we've worked it out, it goes away.

I love that Book, if you get the chance you should read it. Is very thought provoking. (Well for me anyways).

We called our first cat Garp, after the book. It was such a good name for her, she could even say it, "Garrrup".

Bummer, I miss Garp. .

If I have half a chance I grab it, rabbit run...

We had near disaster on Sunday.

Rabbits discovered hole under shed on Saturday. Si and I ran around like lunatics trying to find them, and I had just left the garden to look down the drive, when I spotted a wee white bum tail sticking out under the shed. It took Eilidh and me an hour to entice them out and stick them back in their shed! Bad Buns.

Last night though in the midst of Firework Hell (Our neighbours were letting off rockets right left and centre - three hit my car) Blue disappeared. We thought we had covered the hole and had looked as far as we could see under the shed, with no sign of him. Eilidh decided that he had gotten out into Christine's garden next door, so we headed off and looked round, but with no success and the biggest fear that they would have escaped from Christine's garden into the playing field beyond. Steven and I wandered round the park but with no obvious sign of the rabbit and so we came back resigned to the fact that we may have lost a Bun.

Steven however was having none of it and began to move the wood piled up along side the shed, and managed to wheedle out posts which were stashed under the shed. Then a shout went up! He found him. Sitting bang slap in the middle of the ground under the shed, inbetween the sleepers. Wee buggar.

Steven sat outside until the cheeky bun decided to try and make a break for it, at which point Stevo rugby tackled him and threw him quite undignified back into his bed.

One Found Bun

Two Relieved weans!

You to me are Everything....... Oh Baby

Heavens, I love my husband. Oh yes, I do.

I met him at lunchtime, just for a coffee, not for anything naughty, and see for having just spent 30 minutes with him in the middle of the day - I'm all happy.

I think that after 21 years, that is something of an achievement.

We had a giggle in the coffee shop, wow ASDA has a lot to answer for.. (helping me maintain my marriage). - laughing at how Eilidh has inherited her Gran's radar ears. We were trying to have a quiet conversation at the door this morning on his way out, and eagle ears was sitting at the top of the stairs, ears glowing with the effort of straining to hear what we were saying!! Ha ha She's not going to know.

We also had a giggle about Steven. He has a Fancy Dress party tomorrow night, and is stuck for costume. Then we seen a Dinner Suit, yeah, ASDA is stocking Tux's at £19.00 .... and we thought. James Bond. He would love that!

All in all - good day so far. I have a Reiki night tonight, so I'm heading up there straight after work, so I'll see my wee family later on, after they've all finished their activities!

The Friday 5 - O M G

If you were on a game show and could phone a friend for help, who would your lifelines be for sports: Stevo
arts & music: Eilidh
literature: Kirst
history and geography: Si
science: Si

When you need someone with muscles to help you with a task, who’s the first one you call? Si, obviously

When you need some creative help with ideas for a project, who’s the first person you call?
Kirst - she has the maddest ideas in the world

When you have a moral dilemma and need advice, on whom do you rely most? Strangely enough. Kirst. She has enough moral dilemmas, and works herself into a state over the weirdest things that when you present her with a pretty straightforward moral dilemma she is pretty damn straight to the point on it!

When you need to know the best way to get somewhere, which of your directionally-gifted friends do you call upon first? Not Kirst. She gets lost using the Tom Tom. No Si, because he is a male, males don't do directions. Probably the internet, in fact definitely the Internet.

Cause we're really gonna rock tonight .....

Oh my god.

Tap last night. Flipping Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five. Hop Shuffle Hops! I think I've pulled a muscle in my groin we did so many of them.

I don't think I have sweated so much in ages. Who'd have thought that Tap Dancing provided such a work out? I always feel better for it tho - even despite the fact I had to drive home in the rain with both windows open in the car trying desperately to get some oxygen into my lungs.

Was Halloween and I think Amy had been possessed by Evil Dance Doctor. She kept us going over and over and over. We all had v. sore legs - and very hot faces! Jeesus!

When I got home, Children were all gone. Steven to Scouts, Eilidh out Guising. I sat and had a toastie whilst stil trying to regain my breath. A group of Guisers came to the door and I just handed out their goodie bags. I really couldn't be bothered listening to 6 versions of whatever they were going to do. I was really shattered.

Am still tired tonight, but am just going to sort out the kitchen, and the washing and then, I'm heading out for a wee jog..... bear that in mind Wee-Devil.. .... Me Jog You Text.
