The Cabin Pressure's Rising.......

Woow.

Sunday again.

Where did the weekend go? Is always the same. This one is even more weirder because this is the end of November! Where has the year gone?

December. three weeks and four days til Christmas! heavens. Si and I tried to do some Christmas Shopping.... oaft, I think we have to.

Wee-devil has started Christmas already. Her mum starts it the last weekend in November. I love that! And is James' Birthday today. I am James' Angel, I text him occassionally to remind him to be good, and not bad. Hmmm. I think when I started I quite worried him! It was a relief when I told him it was me, and he didn't hit me.

Hmm

This weekend, has been quite impressive for us! Si and I actually went out. Went out somewhere that wasn't actually a volleyball match, training, or hockey practise or a match, or orchestra, or Scout related! We went to the PUB. Yes, we walked to the Pub on Saturday night. Tool was away at another sleep over, (now resulting in her laying asleep on my bed at 1830 hrs), and then had volleyball practise (see), Boy was playing all day (volleyball), and then out playing drinking games in the evening. So at 8.30, Si and I toddled down in to town, and hit Bruce's Well, Dan Mckays, The Lonsdale and Cheeky Charlies. It is always safer to go to Cheeky Charlies, once you have had a drink. It is quite scary when you are sober. It is SOO much fun to watch all the comings and going. People trying to be sober, when they are anything but!

We had a lovely time, people watching, and trying not to laugh too much at the karaoke singing. When we went for a taxi, an old man said "i'll come in your taxi and pay it, cause I don't want to wait", so he did. And he paid for us to get home.

However, this morning was another story. I could tell that his sleep was disturbed so I jumped out of bed to get Boy up (More volleyball), and tell the Relief Paper Boy about a new delivery!. It was Minus 7 outside. I really shouldn't have gone out in my dressing gown. IT WAS SOOOOO COLD.

Si never made it up before 2 pm. He was very very very very sick. I went back to bed once I had gotten rid of Boy, and I've been back to bed again since then. Is very exhausting having a night out when you aren't used to it.

on a FANTASTIC NOTE:

Boy Has Been Selected for the Young Senior Scottish Squad for Volleyball Internationals in December!!!! wooo WOoOOO Hoooooo.

Just got the email in!

FRIDAY 5

Link to Friday 5

What’s a profession you believe to be overpaid?
Footballers, most definitely! Can you believe the amount of money they are paid, to kick a football for 5 months of the year? okay so some of them look good on it, but o m g the majority. They don't know what to do with themselves. Me? I earn, what? about 2% of what they earn! I'm happy oh yes I am, but o m g - Imagine if one of them just gave me a Month of their pay. They probably wouldn't even notice it gone, and I could do SOOOOOOO Much with it. Take the kids away to New York for Christmas, buy My Si a new car, Pay for a Penthouse Flat for Me Mam (And a Toyboy), ha ha - I'm getting carried away. I'll stop at the New York for Christmas eh? I think maybe there are only one or two who could finance all that on one month's salary. But hey - if any of you are listening, and could afford all that for me - just leave a comment and I'll pass you my mobile number and bank account details. Cheers (It doesn't hurt to try)

(I had another think about this after I uploaded these pictures. I don't actually believe Mr Beckham is over paid. He is worth every penny. O M G Look at that picture)

Who’s a musician you believe to be overrated?

This is going to cause havoc, I can tell.

The Beatles, all of them. Ringo - Yeah, he's a lovely guy and a great drummer, but musician? Nah, I don't think so. George Harrison, erm, didn't he get petitioned a couple of times for plagerism, (and the songs he plagerised weren't that great either), John Lennon, hmm, least said the better I think.

The Bono of the 60's and early 70s
, Change/Feed/Love the world. Everyone so stoned that whatever he said sounded great!

Paul - Don't get me started. How can someone be so famous for just poking your eyebrows up to the sky. Seriously. I heard one of his "latest" songs on the radio, and I looked for something to hit my head with. It was A
WFUL.

Shall I c
ome up to date? Liam Gallagher, not a musicial note in his body. His brother Liam has the talent, but doesn't have the gobbiness to out gob his brother.

What in your life could stand to be overhauled?
My finances, my weight, (oh my gawd, a train outside is having a problem tooting his horn, what a racket), my relationships are great. I don't really think I need overhauling. Just brought into line.

What’s something interesting you
recently overheard?
I heard that, jees. I don't think I have heard anything very interesting really. What would be interesting would be if I was going to be given a MASSIVE pay rise, and a directorship, and my own office. That would be REALLY interesting.

Who is the most overextended person you know?
Overextended in terms of Finance? Or Busy-ness? Flip, aren't we all. We are in midst of Credit Crunch right now. Everyone is Overextended, is all part of the fun. So we have credit crunch, and everyone goes haywire, trimming their excesses, stopping buying luxuries, and what do the government do???? Drop VAT and INterest rates, and encourage us out there to do it all again, on top of what we already have!.

Some boys take a beautiful girl

I've been remiss for a couple of days.

Boy was off for a day on Monday - he was choked up with the cold and barking like a seal. I seen it as a good opportunity for him to catch up on his sleep and do a bit of prep work.

He managed to get his UCAS form updated on line and several pieces of homework completed.

Since then we fell out -He told me to nag him to study and get work done, i did, and he flew off it at me. He says I haven't to nag him when he is. Problem is, he says he is, and I don't think he is doing enough, so I nag. I hate falling out with him, he is a great kid and all heart, but REALLY REALLY needs to work harder.

Tool on the other hand is studying her face off. There is nothing Cambridge will be able to teach her, she is so studious and consciencious Wish I had been like that at school. I still don't know how to study properly.

I drove all night to get to you

So,

Sunday again.

Boy made it home at 8.30, and chose then to advise parents that cars had BOTH crashed en route to Aberdeen! We had been worried about the weather -there were reports of 6inches of snow.

He text constantly tho - and assured us they were "almost" there. It took them til 1 pm to get there..... 6.5 hours after they left! Wow.. And to make matters worse, they lost the match, due to them agreeing that "whoever was winning at 3 would be declared winner due to time constraints" Humph!.

Have him in a Thunderbirds outfit to cheer yourself up.

Is Winter"ten"ment in Troon today. For as long as we have been back in Ayrshire, - every third Sunday in November, we have Santa arriving in Troon to mark the start of the festive period. Last year was the first day he hadn't landed by Helicopter - the helicopter, which comes from the Naval Station along the road, was out rescuing someone, so Santa had to make due with the Life Boat instead.

Is all great fun, all the shops are open, there is a parade, and some shows and entertainment on throughout the town.

Alas, my littlest one is so big now, that going with mum and dad to ooo and aahhh over Santa is a thing of the past. Going with your friends to suss out hot boys is much preferable. Hmmmm.

Boy is away again, playing more volleyball. I am sensing burn out. I think I may have to keep him in bed for a day. Just to let his body rest.

Saturday, November 22, 2008

And I would have stayed up with you all night.....

O M G - Up at 5.30, but awake at various points thru the night.

Boy is playing volleyball in Aiberdeen today - a 4 hour journey for a two hour match and then back again. Had to be a drop off point at 6.30. I was going to lay in bed, but got up with them both and bimbled around fruitlessly. He is coughing and tired, I think he is getting to burn out... but you can't tell him.

Tool and me had partially successful shopping trip last night to Silverburn. After trying every shop, we finally found "the dress" in Jane Norman, which is where we got last years dress. I can't copy the big picture so check the link! She looks like a slight bad fairy in it. Totally Beautiful, and even with her hair unbrushed last night, and her wooly socks on she looked fantastic!

Boy stayed home and caught up on Economics Homework and English Dissertation. Jees he has such a load on right now, and if you try to discuss it he says "i'm not giving anything up.. I'm fine I'm Fine". I don't think he is, but to be honest, I don't know what I can make him give up. He adores his volleyball - is dedicated to Troon Team - which is who is is with today. Doesn't want to let the School Team down -as this is is last year. Is desperate to play in internationals - which is why he is going to Training tomorrow, can't stop with his school work, needs his exams, and enjoys his football too much.

Si was at Scouts. Tool and me got home at 9.30, and Me and Boy headed into the town for Kebab! I was very good and only had the chicken. No Kebab! Then Bed. Shattered. Another busy day ahead. I've been up 2 hours, and time to get Tool up , and then take her to hockey. Think I will be putting some thermals on!

The Friday 5 - How ????

The Friday 5.org

How’s your health?

My health, hmmm. Mental or Physical? Mentally, completely gone. I've been on Proxac for years. I love my happy pills. They Keep me stable, I won't say Sane, because I most definitely am not. My husband has a much better health when I am taking my prozac because he doesn't suffer anxiety attacks when I throw a wobbler. ha ha. Physically? Weight could do with dropping Several thousand sizes. However I am working on that. No carbs this week. Hopeful of kick starting lean phase. The nose has finally dried up, and although I have a little bit of a cough, nae wheezing, so honestly. you could say my health is GOOD.

How was your day?

Is only noon, so not whole day as passed yet. So far so good though. I've reconciled all my bank statements, put the weather up, crocheted a few rows. Stayed away from Facebook. Waited for Wee-Devil to come back to me. I was very worried about her. I don't think she realised how worried i was, and she still hasn't straightened that one with me! "he didn't murder me", really wasn't sufficient enough to reassure me that everything went okay.

How’s the weather?

The Weather is Windy and cold. This is Scotland. That is pretty much the way the weather is most of the time. Except for Autumn, when it rains too. I think it may be Autumn this afternoon. It looks like rain. Maybe even a wee bit of Snow??

How do you expect to get anywhere in life with an attitude like that?

I got everywhere I'm going with this attitude. I like it very much. Everyone around me seems to like my attitude. I've had offers because of my attitude, but I've turned them down, because I like where I am right now thank you very much.

How many people made you smile today?
Kittens made me smile, do they count. My daughter makes me smile, because she is gorgeous. My son makes me smile, because he is completely mental, just like me! My husband makes me smile, because I love him completely, and when I see him, my heart explodes and the resulting aftershocks move my mouth in to a smile position.

It's a Free For All. F*&^ Em All

O M G

Ketosis has kicked in today.

Am dying.

Clinging to any piece of protein I can lay my hands on. Had a piece of cheese, well two pieces actually.

Now am feeling less stressed.

I will survive this and come out the other end, leaner and meaner.

Blinded by the silence of a thousand broken hearts

I've had a good day.

Poached eggs for breakfast, made with the Cling Film Method. Excellent.

Salad for lunch, Salmon, sweet potato (high carbs, not good, but only a little), rocket, herbs, chickpeas, balsamic vinegar. Cheese blocks for snack. Hmmm.

Loads of Water. You have to drink 8 x 8oz glasses.

I am drinking it by the bottle full. I have had 2 bottles, Litre bottles, 8 x 8 oz equates to 64 Oz, which converts to 1.8 litres. so am there and more.

Roll ON Friday, when I will be gorgeous.

Don't wanna close my eyes.....

I wish I could!

Am doped up now on Whisky and painkillers and cough medicine! Way Hay. But I still don't feel much better.

Did my shopping. What a nightmare.... I hate shopping, flipping supermarkets. Full of Christmas stuff too, I felt quite christmassy, but I really just wanted out.

came home and to my delight, Si was back. I went and moaned to him about how crappy I was feeling, and then made myself a hottoddie, and went upstairs, to "sleep", but I ended up doing the ironing.

Now I've got another pile. The washing that was outside was actually dry tonight, which was great! It was a lovely day, it really was, I just wasn't feeling up for it.

Bunnies are cleaned, and watered and fed, Kitties are fed and played out. I'm going upstairs to continue the endless ironing and watch the end of Armageddon....

I think I am becoming Super House-wife.

But since you've been gone,,,

Sometimes you realise that you need to lie down, and take a break.

Jees.

I am so stoked up with the Cold I can barely breath. Yesterday, Tool had hockey first thing in the morning - and Boy was leaving at 9 to go to Motherwell or there abouts for Volleyball.

I spent the afternoon tidying the house - making sure everything as as clean as I can get it, for the kittens and for us with the kittens.

In the evening I had to go to bed. I couldn't hold my head up. I was knackered.

I'm up this morning, both of them are playing volleyball - one at one side of Ayr, one at the opposite. Boy was getting a lift, but Me and Tool were half way to the opposite side of Ayr when he text and says "did I pick up my strip?" ARGHHHH.

I was so relieved when we phoned him back and he said, he hadn't actually looked to see if he had forgotten it, he just wanted to check. He hasn't phoned back, so I'm imagining that he must have it, else he has beaten someone else to death to get their strip.

I now have to go out and get food for the week. You know what it feels like doing the shopping when you are hungry. Well think about what it feels like when you feel like crap, and you have to wander round food. Yeuk. I am not looking forward to this AT ALL.

But since you've been gone/

I would Do anything for another minute with you

I have such a cold. So much for Flu Jab.

My nose is streaming, my top lip is disappearing up my nose.

I should be grateful that I have, so far, refrained from pee'ing myself when I sneeze., which is brilliant, because I'm sneezing a LOAD.

Jees.

Si is up a hill.

Have a picture of Bean, waiting to say Herlo to the Fishie.

Because what he does he does so well

Boy passed his driving theory test yeahhhhhhhhhh

FRIDAY 5

When did you last use the edge of a coin (or a knife blade) as a screwdriver?
I have no need for a coin or knife blade, I have Swiss Army Card courtesy of Wee-Devil. I got it for my birthday. Is totally Amazing. Has : Knife, Nailfile/Screwdriver, PEN, Scissors, tweezers, and weirdly enough...... pin. Yes one solitary little pin, and it is this pin which causes most joy when i demonstrate it to people. And no - I haven't poked anyone with it!

When did you last use a wire coat-hanger to break into a car?
O M G Can you really do that? I thought it was just something they did on TV. I must ask Wee-Devil cause she has probably done it. She has done far more illegal things than me. And she is Mad.

When did you last use food or drink as medication?
Honest Injins, I used it approximately 2 weeks ago. I had a wee problem at work, which i was holding into myself until I got it sorted, which I did courtesy of the lovely Tel-Boy. However the night before I was due to sort it, I swallowed a very large bourbon so that I could sleep. And Boy Did I Sleep! Very Bad I know, but after 2 nights of no sleep I needed something.

When did you last use your cellular telephone as a flashlight?
This is something that distresses me, because my phone is f all use for anything. It doesn't even work as a phone any more. I have had to resort to my old Motorola Rzr which has a cracked face. My new motorola rzr has been replaced once, due to its random switching off problem, and then I couldn't be arsed speaking to the O2 people anymore - they weren't be most helpful. So I tolerated the new one telling me I had the wrong battery in??? Going Purple and Yellow and then switching off, until i realised it was preventing me from making calls and taking calls! Stupid Phone. The only thing it was good for was watching Bourne Identity on it - and I think that is way my darling husband recommended it for me!!!!!

When did you last use a paper clip for any purpose other than to clip paper?
I used a paperclip to poke my keyboard last week. I have problems with my keyboards all the time - If I'm not poking keys off with my extra fast fingers, I am trapping things (well, other paperclips and staples if truth be known), in between them, and of course the occassional lump of food. I try now since I had a new keyboard installed to maintain a non-food zone around my lappy, but it doesn't always work. Who can resist a slice of toast and lemon curd if it is going.... yummy

Lest We Forget

For the first year I remember, the Remembrance Ceremony wasn't held at the Cenotaph, they all went inside! Look how deserted the beach is. In previous years, this is packed.

Okay It was cold, but men died in the war, surely we could take a little cold for 30 minutes?

The Friday 5

The Friday 5 -- Check The Link and Read Everyone Else.

What usually marks the middle of your day?
Lunch. Oh Yes, Lunch. Today was quite boring, soup and a roll and some peanut m&ms. I fancied something wonderful, but unfortunately, I work in Ar-Dross-An and the selection of Absolutely Wonderful places to eat are few and far between. I could go to Asda, and make something from scratch (not brilliant in a wee kitchen, shared by 13). There is a deli - but they have a major problem with their soup. For Italians, they have NO Idea - is all water with bits floating in it. Now I know you are going to say, "that is what soup is". But No. That is what My Soup is (or so my daughter tells me), Real Soup, has depth, consistency and a taste to define the rest of your day. They don't do that. Just water, with little flavour, and occassionally a piece of rice. The Cafe does soup - but it is out a tin, and don't particularly like tinned soup. I should really get off my arse and make soup honestly shouldn't I?

From whom (or to whom) was your most recent middle-of-the-night phone call?
Boy, I believe called me in the middle of the night to ask me for the number of a taxi company. He was trying to show me he was mature and sensible but probably knew that by phoning me to ask for a taxi, I would reason that since I was awake, I might as well get up and go fetch him myself. I'm glad I did. His mate K was paralytic, and I don't think a taxi driver would have appreciated him in his cab!

On what social, political, economic, or moral issue are you in the middle of the road?
Abortion. I'm right down there in the middle. I understand those women who petition for the rights of the foetus however barmy it may seem. I had a foetus who moved at 13 weeks and I felt it very very clearly (that Foetus is now 17 years old and very much alive, and so to reassure my daughter who nearly fainted when she read this, no I didn't actually have an abortion, I was just trying to make the point, that i believe that at 13 weeks the child growing in you is alive, but that I still understand that some people have to have an abortion), so to remove something from your body which is very obviously alive is going to be contentious. However, I also feel very strongly for those women who find themselves pregnant - poor birth control, mistake, rape, really really bad timing. They should have the choice. Having a baby is not just for Christmas. Most definitely.

How likely are you to give someone your middle finger?
Very Very Likely.

I'm always waving one or two fingers at someone. Mostly when I'm driving, so that they can't catch me.

But Am equally likely to give it to Wee-Devil because she winds me up at such lengths. Gullible, Yes that's me where Wee-Devil is concerned!

When were you last caught in the middle of a disagreement that really had nothing to do with you?

I try to stay out of disagreements - I don't like them and they don't do anything for my blood pressure. I can't remember the last time i was in the middle of one between me and anyone, and if I was, I probably couldn't mention it here, incase either of the parties seen it and realised I was talking about them! tee hee

While the whole wide world is fast asleep....

Poor Tooli.

Not Well. Starting throwing up about 1.30, and has continued from both ends all night.

We are down to yellow bile, and water now. We are exhausted. And there are many piles of washing.

Sleeping on sofa now. Tool tucked up beside Dad.

Then I electrocuted myself.

I wanna Talk Like You , Walk LIke You. Obie, Doo

I have been remiss. However, I have due cause.

On Monday, I was preparing for yesterday's trip, and feeling a bit bowfy.

And Yesterday, I had the best trip ever.

Wee-Devil, Kez and Moi, boarded a plane, courtesy of Ryanair at 2p per flight (inclusive of taxes), and flew to Bournemouth. Once at Bournemouth, we got a hired car, and started our Drive to

MONKEY WORLD

which we knew to be close by, but not 100% sure exactly where it was. After a few wrong turns, we covered the 25 miles, in a roundabout trip of 50miles. Good Job Wee-Devil is a good driver and didn't make us feel sick at all!

Monkey World is a fantastic place. They provide a home and help for monkeys of all types who have
been trapped in Pet, Circus or experimental labs.

We spent 5 hours there and didn't see it all, nor did we spent as much time with the animals we did see, that we wanted to. I think I could have happil
y spent a week there, getting to know all the animals, and spending time with them all.

They are fantastic beautiful creatures, and i
f you have the time and the money - GO GO GO - Go and visit the beautiful monkeys too.

High up where the stallion meets the sun

So, this morning Si is away off up another hill. He likes his hills he does. I decided to be pro-active today. ha ha ha - Yeah, i know I try, it sounds good, but I never quite get there.

As I sat pondering what needed done (a) Dishes, (b) ironing (c) my roots (d) the mess in my bedroom, the phone went and the spar told us that R wasn't delivering again this week... did Boy know. No he didn't! I went up and got him and the pair of us went up - he drove, I delivered. It was a perfect combination. when I drive, he dawdles round the houses, I'm sure we got it done twice as fast today.

We got back and I did my roots, desperately needed, and I did bacon rolls for him, and poached eggs for me. I love poached eggs.

Tool finally got up and I made her a roll in Flat Sausage. This is a treat.

After that, we started to get organised to go out. Boy wanted to drive today. I prepped dinner - We weren't sure when Si would be home, but I reckoned small joints would only take 30 minutes to cook - so would just chuck it all on when he called to say he was on way home.

We went away out - first we drove to Ar-dross-an and left carpet for Pete at the Marina. (they use it to protect the boats against the cradles.

Then we drove out of Ardrossan and headed towards Largs, but turned right at Fencebay and headed up the Moor. This was a lovely experience for Boy- see picture on left. Is a single track road, which is about 3 in 1 slope..... but you get to the top and you see this. This isn't the best bit of the view, but it is spectacular eh? Cumbraes in the foreground... Arran to the back - and numerous other peninsula's and island to the right. Is unbelievable that such a gorgeous sight is only 20 miles up the coast. Beautiful.

We headed back, dropped into Sainsbury in Saltcoats (very strange location for such a nice shop), and then headed home, via Irvine, Dreghorn, Bourtreehill and Shewalton.

He is doing so good on his driving, I so hope he passes his theory test.

Tooli has been very quiet today, but is tired. She is upstairs now, bashing away on her clarinet. She is sooo oorganised, we are going to take a wee trip over to Tesco to get tights for in case of emergency.

and Boy, and Si are away to Flicks to see Bond! Boy Bonding. I love it.

It's something unpredictable....................

So, this is really Saturday Mornings post, but on Sunday morning, cause I did Saturday Night's post on Saturday night from another PC.

I can't believe the day I had yesterday, at least the migraine is gone and the biggest problem today is getting rid of the grey hair, and the 6' pile of ironing in the bedroom, and the feathers (Thanks Kate), all over the living room floor (Posh Spice was Moulting).

Am a bit mad that I didn't get photos of the girls dressed up, but by the time they came home, I was well on the way to Migraine hell. I couldn't see myself straight in the mirrror let alone take photos of people who didn't look like themselves!

I thought you might be amused however by the mess of my living room on Saturday morning, after 5 teenage girls spent the night yakking and laughing and eating, until 3 am in the morning.

The same girls had to get up at 7 Am because they were all playing hockey.

Once I had got rid of them, my thoughts turns to Boy! Boy left the house on Friday night with me - he drove to Ayr and I went for a bit of shopping, Boy then was going to party, and staying over with his mate (S above). He was then going from S's to Volleyball. His mobile phone died about 10 pm, so from ten pm, until this point I had had to shut him out my mind.

Mothers will know - your mind plays the most awful tricks on you when your children aren't instantly locatable. I reassure myself that at 17 he is much bigger and scarier than I was at 17 - and I was out doing all sorts of unmentionables at the same age. He can look after himself I have no doubt! So what do I worry about - other idiots, drunk drivers, muggers, escaped convicts. You name it, I worry.

I got thru the day okay tho, without calling (a) the police or (b) emergency department looking for him. Surprisingly enough, he turned up about 3 pm, which was quite early for him on a volleyball day! I was delighted to see him, but managed to retain my cool, and not greet him like he had been resurrected from the dead (which of course in my mind he was).

Previous post tells you what we got up to the rest of the day.... and then of course I had to head to bed, and wonder about where he was tonight..... and when he came in and let me know he had been perfectly safe - his mate C drove him home....... he passed his test last Wednesday... Yes, my fears are completely justified!

All I do each night is think .

This is a weird weekend.

Last night was Halloween.

Kids out all over the place, dressed up, demanding sweets with menaces, today, apparently, was Guy Fawkes.

Normally there is definitely a weekend between the two activities, but tonight, they actually met.

As a family we have had five dressing up events, kids x 2 and dad x 1, (yes, i escaped the charade which is Guising), over the course of the week, and had the sleepover last night (I'll post about that later, I'm on the laptop and the pics are on the other PC).

Today, we get up, and I discover kind of randomly that this would be the evening the town would be celebrating Guy Fawkes. The Round Table (or the Rotary - I'm not entirely sure they aren't the same thing), put a fantastic display on. 25 minutes of fireworks, for donations.

I looked in the bucket as we went in, and although we put a handful of £1 coins in - there were hundreds of notes. (but maybe they had put the notes in to encourage people to be MORE generous. That being said, there was our handfull, Boy's handfull, and Tool's Handful. Yes, it was separate family entertainment tonight. Aw.

Si and Me stopped in at the Towers for a quick drink on the way home, and discovered that it was Halloween again. All the staff bedecked in Fancy Dress, and very fancy dressed it was too. We were served by Cleopatra as Dracula, (with painted red fingernails), looked on. It was most impressive.

We then toddled up the rest of the road, and I wish I hadn't been as taken aback as I was, or I would have gotten a picture. On one of the houses on the front shore - in an upstairs room, at the bay window - probably about 12 ft by 12ft - was an eye. The eye was looking out over the beach, moving back and forward and blinking.

Obviously a projection, on to the curtain, or a screen in front of the window - but it was brilliant. It looked as tho the house was watching with a big Cyclops Eye, and blinking slowly as you walked past. Amazing. I do wish I'd taken a photo. Tool seen it too. - It was kinda hard to miss.
